The ping was stable until today. Now it changes in every room.
An event couldn't affect ping, unless they directly changed the game in order to accommodate it, which they haven't.
It's like saying 6 kids having a LAN would affect all the servers. -

Day 2 has come to a close. Where to begin.
It started with the calm before the storm around 9:00am. Arriving in the morning we set up our computers with newly minted headsets for people to actually HEAR with, over the immense noise of every other booth that is. The floors were void of people and there was a general sense of tension in the air.
If you're wondering why, it was because just waiting beyond the entrance there was literally THOUSANDS of people lined up waiting to get it. They were cheering and shouting and itching to get their hands on all the latest content being dropped by the big companies.
Cross Fire had a perfect vantage point, located near one of the entrances. Within 30 seconds of security opening the gates, the area was flooded with people. Fans of all games, including Cross Fire joined us in our booth. Sat down and played random online games with the thousands of other people playing CF at that very moment.
Day 2 went off without a hitch. It was amazing to see so many people come play and enjoy our game. We had LAN matches, and TDM games, and some scrims going on between gamescom players. Almost all computers at some point played multiple random games with players on the internet.
I was blown away by the skill level of the players coming in. Most players who played a round would top frag, or at least come in a close second. All our gamescom accounts had all the weapons on them and players were gravitating towards some of the more popular weapons like the AK-Gold and the Kriss Super V. But there was always someone fraggin with an AWM or trying out other favourites like the Scar L and the XM8.
Here are a few pictures, excuse the forum-breaking size.
I'll describe them in order here to save confusion and text between photo's. Excuse the quality. The booth is very dark and the light coming off the wall material sparkled and distracts the camera and makes pictures blury.
1 - The booth
2 - Our lovely hostesses aka "booth babes"
3 - The entrance we are near with the fans waiting to get in
4 - The hordes of fans seconds after the doors open
5 - Fans playing CF
6 - Asus stops by to show their CF love
7 - More Top Fraggin
8 - Big screen action
See you all on Day 3!
