For A Moderator: Question

Please forgive me, when I bring up a deleted thread. I made an informative thread this morning about Z8Games, G4 Box and SmileGate, clearing up who were the Developers and how Z8Games was the internet portal, etc.

When I stepped away about an hour ago, there were no arguments or so-called "flaming" going on. I have tried to contact someone on IRC about it and I have had no luck. I am simply trying to find out what happened to it. Whether it was deleted for an ensuing flame war or what the reason was. Again, I apologize for bringing up a deleted thread. I am just curious as to what happened to it. It was going quite well when I left. Thank you very much.

I don't know what Moderator closed the thread. Otherwise I would have. It's a simple question. It should be answered quickly and then none of you have to worry about it.

Then it should be answered pretty quickly now shouldn't it? I'm not offending anyone. I'm asking a very simple question. It wasn't an offensive thread and when I had stepped away it was going fine.

[MOST OF THE TIME]It it was for flaming reason, it would've been closed, if it was for spamming reason, it would've been completely removed and deleted.

Tried the IRC with Moderators present and I have a Moderator on Xfire. No answers. Private messages probably won't do any good either. This thread would be gone quicker if an answer was given.

Something seems unusual. Usually, it doesn't take a Moderator long to respond to threads. Only difference is, mine isn't offensive.

I'm sure there is a valid reason. That is what I'm trying to find out. All I know is, the thread had been carried on throughout the day. It was not offensive to anyone nor was it in a state of argument of "flaming" when I left. All of a sudden I come back and it's gone. I know the "usual" reasons for a deleted thread. I'm simply asking the reason why mine was closed. It shouldn't take that long to answer. I'm not being offensive in any way, I don't see a reason why this would be a big deal.

They don't normally reveal why they close the thread or delete it. Only sometimes they give you vague answers that really don't help at all. Although you thread should have been stickied IMO.

My other good cause thread happened to vanish mysteriously as well.. could be something in common. I was lucky I have pretty close ties with a few mods and was able to restore it thanks to a certain one.

You had a good informative thread. It should have never been closed. Just cleaned and cleared up a few minor misconceptions and it was sticky material..

I do agree a thread on that should be stickied in this forum. However, I believe that someone official has to make those statements in order for it to be stickied, i.e. [GM]Saidin. As I am a simple forum user, I can not be cited as a "source" for that information. I have been in contact with select Z8 Staff on maybe having someone release a thread on that subject. We will see what happens.
