DSR vs AWM
What do you think is better? Personally I think they are both better for different situations.. the DSR's keep in scope is better for long range sniping but I think the AWM is much better for quick scope short range situations.
I think the DSR looks a lot cooler too xD
What about you guys? what sniper do you get more kills with?

TDM : DSR.
SnD : AWP.
AWP/AWM doesn't take as long as DSR to pull out or reload, which means more quick switches and quick scoping. The DSR is better for TDM because of multiple enemies spawning quickly, and you typically have more time to be alive anyway. -
do not ever say DSR-1 > AWM or AWM > DSR-1
DSR-1 = rushing, because it's flexible, scopes once, and semi-auto. If the reload bothers you... thats your problem haha XD
AWM = Super long range... more accurate than DSR-1 by slightly. (IRL, AWM > DSR-1 though) -

dsr vs awm? awm wins.... 1 vs 1=awm cutch= awm... awm better for qs, like doublezoom more than singel (sucks at close range) reload of awm is much better and you can switch better with awm because reload after switching sucks at dsr... sorry for my bad english

Its the exact opposite. -.-'
AWM= Rushing/Quick-scoping.(SnD)
DSR = Camping/Long Range. (TD Egypt/Monaco are good for DSR)

In my experience of my DSR-1, the only reason I ever use the AWM is if its an adv version with extra bullets.
-The DSR-1 has excellent no-scope capability to pull off on the fly if CQC becomes an issue.
-The staying scoped in is probably one of its best features, where you don't get screwed over by a simple glock bullet mulling you over. (I loved doing that to make the awm'ers mad.)
-Personally I find the difference between the reload and pull out of the dsr-1 compared to the awm is minimal. Not enough to really bother me. Pre-readying it isn't such a hard task.
-The semi-auto firing rate is what makes it a beast along with its equal power and accuracy.
-The 1.5x sniper zoom I find is more beneficial. Especially only having it 1 zoom, makes it quick and easy to zone in on opponents. Rarely did I ever need the awm's x3-4 zoom to take out an enemy. This game is close enough that even the x1-2 is enough. Plus the 1.5x doesn't close off your field of vision as much. (Especially useful for Ghost Mode.)
Now, its all about the user when it comes to ANY gun, this DSR-1 vs AWM debate is no different. The AWM has its own twists to make it an effective gun in the right hands. But these arguments about what scenarios for the guns are best at is false. I've clutched plenty of times with my DSR-1 in SnD, 1v1 is almost pathetically easy (against the majority) and TDM is solely my way of brushing up on rusty sniping skills with good k/d at the end.
/End of debate, its the user, not the gun. -

Why the h3ll would you use a sniper for ghost mode???? -

Haha, because its fun, most Ghosts don't expect it, and most snipers are 1 hit kill. So generally it can be fairly effective in CQC in just letting a few off. All else fails, switch to the pistol. I play fairly well in GM with my sniper, usually gets me kicked constantly. -

the psg is amazing in GM with its 1shot-kill to the center of the chest and its fast fire rate. GG -

herp derp...
DSR-1 stays in scope when fired and it scopes once. and it's less accurate than the AWM slightly.
AWM will co.ck the bolt when fired, which means it doesnt stay in scope. and scopes 2 times.
are you kidding me... this is common sense -
AWM > DSR for me.
1. Things that AWM can't do that DSR-1 does:
- Stay scoped on after the shot.
2. Things that DSR-1 can't do that AWM does:
- Quickswitching. (DSR's pullout time won't let you shoot fast enough).
- Multiple quickscope. (You can't change scope modes fast enough to use DSR in a situation while you need take several targets in completely opposed directions)
- Scope Hold (You shoot your AWM one time. Hold shoot button. Look/Run around. Aim the ennemy. Relase the button and get your scope back on, ready to quickscope.) DSR doesn't scopes out.
- Observation. After each AWM shot you can look around and find your next target. DSR limits you to it's scope or "Slowswitch" wich will let your target get away too quick.
- AWM reloads faster than DSR. It's possible to make a 9 kill streak with a 5 kill clip'd AWM.
- Mobility. IMO, AWM is lighter than AWM-Camo. Don't know about AWM reg tho.
Basically, AWM can do everything DSR does exept staying scoped on. But that is even annoying for me, so i'm happy it doesn't stays scoped in.
