Game News
The Patch is now live. And people are weighing in on their opinions. A lot of changes happened this patch that some people weren't prepared for. Only time will tell on the full reception of the patch. And by the time everyone is done complaining we'll be on the verge of more content additions. You can read up on all the debate in this thread. And we'll leave the subject with you reading pages of debate.

Cross Fire is going to Gamescom! We will be having a booth (in Hall 9.1 for those interested) so be sure to stop by. You're very own Urban Editor will be on hand to sign autographs and if you're nice enough you might even get some Swag, you'll have to be fast though if you want a picture. [GM]Saidin has been known to go invisible when he stops moving! Cross Fire will be running daily tournaments with "Swag Bags" for prizes and our Moderators will be playing all week long with people outside of the conference and handing out GP Rewards for playing with them. (more on that next week)

Competitive Updates
Some would say the last patch wasn't as "competitive" as they would hoped to have been. Well we're continuing to work on new ideas and things that we hope to see in the game at some point in the future. Sometimes an update for something in our mind is different than what reception it receives by the community or the players. So we learn from that and move on.

Having said that, the new "Play Together" feature has been very useful for getting clans and friends together, to play both competitively and casually. A feature like this was highly needed in our game and will only serve to increase the communities.

Some would also say that LifeLine is the best clan in the game. Many think they are preparing to win the WOGL-P tournament and head to China to represent our version of Cross Fire in the worldwide tournament in Oct/Nov. But they buckled under some pressure on the WOGL-O finals (ok so maybe all the regulars weren't there). Their Ego was bruised however, and LifeLine is looking to dominate once again in the public spotlight on WOGL.TV. Be sure to watch them face off against Carbon in this sure-to-be-epic match on Sunday at 6pm EDT on www.wogl.tv.

Community Happenings
Friday the 13th and death is in the air. The death of Badwaffles laptop charger. We'll miss you!

The 13th also seems to involve a lot of Cross Fire deaths. M4Munzta wants to rank-up. So he needs your help. Kill or be killed and watch him get his "nerd bar" (got a better term? Suggest one below!).

Speaking of bars. Your favourite SilenceR just got his butter bar. Face him and see if you're better! Not to be outdone, TiisSkill got his as well!

There's a new Winchester in town. The forumers are uniting behind it. Who wants to be the best with this new scoped version of your favourite old western gun! Our very own [MOD]BlindRob is one of the best with this gun. And he's being called out. Will he answer the challenge? Who else thinks they can take on the master?

We don't often feature Fan Works in UW, so why not start? [Pollo] has some great looking marks here.

Lastly, it's Urban Warfare's duty to inform everyone reading that the Off Topic forum for Z8Games was closed and has now been split into two OT forums for each game. Cross Fire's Off Topic hijinks continues here. We will be removing the old OT forum completely next week. We will also be looking at adjusting the Z8 Forum Discussion as well so be prepared for some other changes.

Featured Website - Gamescom

This week we're going to break away from our usual featured website. In light of this mini edition of the Urban Warfare newsletter we thought it only fitting to feature the gamescom website.

Gamescom is one of the largest European Gaming conventions. Hundreds of thousands of gamers will pour through the Halls in Cologne Germany and view many different games.
