The site we need to name is a site with a ladder system, tournaments and leagues. THe site will host these tournaments, too

Ok, so I had this idea for the Total Warfare tournament.

The first 3 rounds are direct elimination.

Lets say we have 128 teams.
After 3 rounds there are only 16 left.

The 4th round is a "tug war".
The teams are grouped into 4 groups.

Group A vs Group B
Group C vs Group D

A tug war tournament works like this:

A WINS |5|4|3|2|1| Status |1|2|3|4|5| B WINS

Every time a team from 1 group defeats 1 of the other group, it's group advances 1 point nearer to it's win.
So for example Teams 1,2,3,4 are in Group A, Teams 5,6,7,8 in Group B
Team 1 wins against Team 5 => Group A gains one point and advances 1 field to "A wins". Therefore the "Status" advances to the field 1 to the left.
Team 2 looses against Team 6 => Group B gains 1 point. The Status goes 1 point to the right, in this case it would be in the middle again.
Each team can make 1 game per day.
So at the end of the day either 1 group has won or they have to try the next day.

After this round 8 teams are left, divided into 2 groups. The rest of the tourny is direct elimination again.

Yes of course, that is what I meant with direct elimination.

Still got no answer from z8... meanwhiles we are finishing the technical part on our side
