My recent patch review.
NOTE: The following opinions are my own (Unless stated otherwise). All reasonable and serious opinions are to be respected. As long as you have quality and sufficient evidence to back up your opinion, or feel strongly about something and choose to display your feeling rationally, you may contribute opinions. I realize that you cannot please everybody, but you CAN respect everybody's opinions.
I've decided to review the recent patch, mostly because it is disappointing (IMO), so here goes:
- Time Delay: The patch took forever to come out (according to opinions expressed throughout the forums), and it to forever to "download" as well.
- New Maps: Tranquility MM: This Eastern-theme Map is mostly walls, fences, and ledges. There is a ladder and a raised platform in one corner, where soldiers can camp. The scenery is nice. I like the Tree, it's pretty neat. But the map can get confusing until you get used to it, and getting shot off the walls is annoying as Mutant. Not a bad map, but Port is still my favorite.
- New Maps: Forbidden Palace: Another Eastern-theme Map, this time for TD. Nothing new here. The map is not Egypt-small; it's pretty big. There is a raised platform in the middle, and 2 straight halls on either side. Again, nice scenery, but nothing spectacular. I would've appreciated a new SnD map instead.
- New Characters: S.T.A.R: "Elite counter-terrorism in the Malaysian Army"...she looks like a flight attendant. And who wears a mini-skirt to an army mission? The design is terrible IMO; it has nothing to do with combat. The S.P.O.P is a hundred times better. The boys have enough eye-candy, Z8. Time for something serious.
- New Characters: Smoke: I haven't seen him used yet, but I can say the design is not bad.
- New weapon: M4-Crystal: Basically an M4-Silver/Adv with a different skin. Not worth 80 coupons IMO. Custom is 20 coupons cheaper, and 20 times better. The skin is awful, so I don't see any reason why this is would be a popular gun.
- New weapon: AK-74u: I can't see a significant difference between this and the AK-74. It has a little more recoil, but it's lighter and has 30 extra bullets. I don't think this will be a popular gun either.
- New weapon: RPK Gold: I haven't seen this gun in-game, but I can say that the skin isn't that bad. Plus, I've heard it's more accurate, so I say it's not a bad gun.
- New weapon: Winchester-Scope: Pretty much a joke, like the original winchester. The design is a cross between the original winchester and the AK-Scope, so it doesn't look bad. However, it has the same performance as the original winchester. The scope doesn't really improve the gun, and the stats in the shop lie, from what I've noticed. It's better than the winchester, but worse than most other guns.
- New buddy system: My favorite update. Its now easy to get into clan-mate's and friend's games. However, they removed the channel number from the location of the player's game. They also hid your name from the clan list. I don't see why they did it, but it's not that big an issue.

The maps, pretty good maps i like Tranquility but hate the BigDoor glitch,Forbidden palace its a good map not the best i kinda like it.

The ak 74U shoots faster from what I recall.
Yeah that made me sad tooi agree 100%, i didnt see anything that cool in this patch. the only thing i want is the ak74u and i cant use it cus its for an amount of days wich is completely dumb.

Not only is it ugly, more expensive, it is only a regular 30/90. -
