xp = more fps?

It's very likely that you would get somewhat of an increase. Not only does Vista hog more system memory for itself, but any games that use DirectX 9 or lower have to pass through an emulation layer. Personally I use a dual-boot system: XP Pro and Windows 7. XP Pro is for gaming, while Windows 7 is for everything else.
