CrossFire won't load.. for the past 3 days!

since 3 days ago CrossFire would not load. I'm using Windows XP, and my computer is built tough so I know it's not a performance issue. I clicked CrossFire the second time and it says "Patch is already running", I head on to Task Manager and end the patcher process and then start it up again.. same error. I uninstalled CrossFire, downloaded a fresh copy and same problem. I'm getting really mad and this sucks cause I have nothing else to do in my days then play CrossFire. And I just bought $20 ultimate game card to use, first time buying ZP -__-. Someone please help

EDIT: Crossfire patcher loads up when I shut off my computer -_-, BUT WHY?
