So obvisously every one finds spots to get onto roof tops and on beams high above everybody, whats so bad about that? If you can get there why not let us stay up there? Its not like an unfair advantage or anything its just more places to look out for and more places to get a couple sweet kills in. Example, when port was new me and my friends would boost each other up ontop of the rooftops (and under the map but thats not what im trying to promote) so we could snipe people from above.
And that's not a considerable advantage? A tactical spot, that cannot be reached by using normal methods and are completely out of reach for any gun (except grenades) if you don't show up. (considering you chose a "good" spot)
Also no one is checking the roof for ennemies unless they know that there's someone. If there's someone you can be sure 2 or 3 people will be useless for the rest of the match, cause they're trying to camp out the roof campers.
There are some few spots that are legit and which give some advantages. Go learn double jump/box climbing and use these >_>
Adding ladders to only a few tactical spots could be interesting, but find some appropriate spots first. Also that whole "roof's not THAT bad"-thing is imo just making new problems. Just leave it the way it is now. -

well ya i explained in one of my posts if z8 does make this happen then yes there is going to be a few more gltiches that will be found and they will need to patch them. But people camping on the roof the whole game is pretty much the same as camping behind a box the whole game. Also when people are behind boxes and other objects i sometimes forget to check there as i walk by so they kill me. It would be the same as the roof and the more you play maps like that the more it will remind you to check up top for anyone. and you can get there fairly easily its just not that obvious. You need to look for it and also if they do make the roof tops accessable again im sure they will add ladders to get up. oh and yea it would be an advantage if you are up on a roof but think of the map "Downtown" in A site i think, it might be B im not sure but the one where there are 3 different levels you can go on. The ground, the ledge right above the tin roof and where the ramps end in the 3rd floor. When you plant the bomb below and you stay up top you have an advantage because you just need to listen for some one to make noise like defusing the bomb and then you just pop out look down and kill them. To avoid that you can go up there yourself and check for people camping. You could do the same on the rooftops of port. So yes it does give an advantage but there are a few maps like that, that are playable. -

So if they add balconies it would be part of the map? So if they add balconies it would be part of the map? S&D Mexico there are 2 balconies you can gltich up to by boosting each other and there in an invivible wall you can get through and it protects you from bullets. So thats not a glitch right? Cause its a balcony so it must be part of the map. And if they let us on the roof tops it would be part of the map. Nice try.

It gave more of a challenge to the playing feild and since the map was new no one said "oh wow glitcher" they probabaly thought there was a way to get up there. Annnnyways my point is you shouldnt put damage spots on rooves and stuff. The only places you should put damage spots are like under maps and in boxes so people can get some where, where they cant be shot/killed. And also it would make the maps seem alot bigger since there is more places to go to. Sooooooooooo hoping a mod reads this and actually promotes this idea.

Alot of places are all ready like that, Sniping towers in colombia, sniping tower in eagleeyes, The high window of the castle, these are just a few of them like bio said before lol -
Anyone who's played CS:S/CS1.6 would agree, all spots that are possibly accessible without going through walls/boxes/floors SHOULD BE ACCESSIBLE without being damaged. It adds more to the game having to worry about more spots, not to mention adds realism without invisible walls.
