My 2 Cents About Votekicks

I only bring this up to make a point to the people playing this game: learn to distinguish between hacks and skill. I understand that everyone is shellshocked because of the amount of hackers that have been around recently, but not everyone who has a KDR of over 1.0 cheats.
Welcome To Cross Fire -
well, this is what happens when you play on the alpha server (or with BR's on general)..
try playing on the staff seargent+ server
got to quote that since when did delta get anti-noobish i never go there always always noobs or br's chill there they such jews( b4 i get flamed i am jewish) i am still quoting that -
Ok I'm not going to read though 10 pages:
1. If things are too easy, challenge yourself. Take off the little girl, put away the over powered cash gun. Go pistol only, restrict yourself to headshots only, try and get a grenade kill every life, play only in a certain location, or just flat out rush their spawn.
2. Once you're getting the same kind of scores with a pistol, then start playing with better people. TDM is a no skill mode as it is, nothing more than warm up/target practice for me. I know the mod clan doesn't scrim often if at all, but that doesn't mean you can't get an alt, level it up, and play with people you deem mature enough. Competitive play is all the rage right now.
3. Play a mode that takes some skill. Search and Destroy can really raise your gamesense up and make you a better tdm player.
For real, this thread is nothing special. I was a moderator too and I got kicked just as much as when I wasn't, sometimes even more because people knew what CF Mods were and would kick just "cause its funny/I want to see if I can"
I played you in Mexico a couple nights ago, me and some other Paradox guys. While I joined mid game, I recall fragging you plenty on the box side of the map. We were all going to stay and play with you, but in between games you left the room. If you want to bring your game up or want a challenge then play with better people.
No disrespect intended, but I'm just laying out my opinion/experience with the game. -
Bruce you completely missed the point of the thread. My sole intention in posting this was to make people actually THINK before starting a vote. You know very well that I'm not a competitive player in any shape, way or form. I play this game strictly for fun.
-
Maybe the competitive side is something worth investigating, GreyCloak.
I was the same, I used to use SPOP and ScarLight, my Kriss and TD Egypt/Ship only.
Then I joined another clan and they showed my the art of SD and showed me what strats, picks peeks and everything was.
Now when I warm up I pretty much ace most of those TD pubs.
Give it a go, pick up an AK. -

Well good luck with that. The people who need to be told are not the ones who come on the forum. ._____.' -
Meh,
Seeing MOD's use looked-down-upon char and guns will act as a deterrent for me personally in thinking 'Wow these guys are really cool, worth respecting'.
Personally seeing the MOD's play SD and Pugg, play competitively will not just increase YOUR gameplay personally but it will encourage the community. -
Why should you expect some, if not most, players here to think before they act? The general consensus in-game is very against guns like the Kriss, M12s, Scar Light etc (not that I have that much trouble); it doesn't matter if you bought hundreds of thousands of crates for the Kriss, they don't care. Unfortunately, the type of players that you had in that match are the ones most likely to kick you...you can just tell. I would not have bothered with such a match and instead look around for a match where you know players won't kick you. For me, joining a match with those types of players is just asking for a kick....I don't know why you even joined that match in the first place.
But nevertheless I do feel sympathy. -
SPOP is the only female character in the game. I don't think anyone should be complaining about it because it is the only option people have to be a girl, especially real female players. It's they had other options, perhaps a "thicker" female character, then there can be room for complaints, but as of now there shouldn't be any.
Besides, when I play I honestly do not see the difference in difficulty for killing SPOP as opposed to the male mercenaries... -

Can't do anything. If they remove votekick, then their will be no end to th amount of hackers that we'll receive.
We can try to change the votekick system a bit. One of my past ideas were to make it harder to kick someone who's been in the game longer (so hopefully people do not waste as much of their time). Such as in a 16 player room: if you just joined a game, it would only take 8 votes to get rid of you... If you've played from start to say... 12-12 or something like that, it should take a unanimous vote to kick you.
Our current vote kick system, I find it ridiculous that it's harder for skilled players to stay in a game than to get rid of a player who is blatantly hacking. -
Sorry Greycloak mate, but reffering to your previous comment.
'I spent 100's of crates for that thing why shouldn't I use it?'
I have a dusty Kriss, M4 Gold, M4 Custom and LOTS of other ZP guns which I don't use EVER in my storage.
When people SEE that you're using more skill required guns such as me with my AWM or AK they will realise (most of them) that you're not nooby and will most likely keep you in the game assuming they have a decent iq.
However even I personally wouldn't F12 a guy if he's running around with his SPOP (which questions sexuality) and Kriss (no recoil gun) and pre firing and spraying everywhere.
I understand you weren't PLEASED that you got kicked considering your decent score worth posting in TD Mexico with Kriss.
But you have to think, most people would prefer a normal char with say an AK or M4 a rifle avalible to most.
Partially your fault. -

Who's the professional determining what guns someone should use and what power does this person have? I'd like to meet this master of gaming if he is put on such a pedestal.
Personally, I think you should A.) stop making excuses for yourself and others based on what choices they are making in game and B.) you should be more concerned about your gameplay not anyone else because you know (what a crazy idea) you are not them. -
[MOD]Greycloak wrote: »If the gun exists it's fair game. I don't play competitively and could care less what guns are restricted by leagues.
So true. Personally, I think Shovel is pretty noob when I play GM (even though I have one myself) but that doesn't stop people from using it, so why should what others say change what you can use? -

You sir are wrong.
Kriss?
No recoil OP SMG.
Why do you think its disallowed in WOGL or any other competitive scene.
Use the quote button and learn to spell what's spelled for you on your screen.
You kids over exaggerate a lot of the "noob" guns. That's why it's banned from the "competitive scene", so they don't get so many complaints.
I have not seen a problem yet against a Kriss, SCAR Light, or M12s. It's how you play against it, not the OPness. -

Dude.. Other peoples opinions are the only thing that should matter to you. -

Another very true statement. If there was an official noob cannon decided by Smilegate or something, they wouldn't even put it out there for players to get their hands on.
There are plenty of "noob cannon" guns that can be easily obtained with GP, so it's not like you're restricted from it. The fact that you choose to pick a gun that's harder to handle, then that's your decision, and the fact that you expect others to change for your decision makes you extremely self-centered. -
Dude.. Other peoples opinions are the only thing that should matter to you.
If that was the case and people cared, everyone should be using UZI or M16 in all-weapons allowed matches, M9 in pistols only, M700 in snipers only, and knife in knives only. But we all don't, so no one should complain. -
