crash and back to desktop

while i was playing gm in hakenkreuz, i was jumping onto a sign near b site. then, while i was in mid-air i crashed and than i was sent back to my desktop after that i was waiting for any type of error note to pop up when i got back onto my desktop, but i couldn't find one. the next day i play cf i don't have any problems at all it's just all normal. is my pc demented?
