Xtrap Error Message
Hi,
just recently when starting up crossfire I get an error message from Xtrap;
"CODE_FIELD [02-0400-00000000-518]
Some functions of the operating system are not working properly due to external program. Please, close any program which is affecting game client.
Tool Name : fsgk32.exe"
This has nothing to do with the new update as I have been playing crossfire for weeks fine after the new update. Then one morning I was playing crossfire and it was working fine, however thta afternoon I decided to go on crossfire and I received the error message.
I have tried;
- re-installing crossfire.
- running crossfire as administrator.
- turning off my internet security [which is F Secure]. I don't have firewall turned on.
[none of these things worked btw]
This problem is getting quite annoying for me now as I am a regular player of crossfire. If anyone has a solution to this problem could you please let me know, as i would like to get back to playing crossfire daily.
Hope someone has a solution out there.

It's some problem with XTrap and F-Secure, i have same problem. -
Hi,
I have tried deleting the Xtrap file and it did not work. I have just also restored my system; using system restore, to an earlier date when I did not have this problem. This did not work, so now I am out of ideas.
Although I might try and delete the file "fsgk32.exe" and see if that works. If it does I will let you know.

That is true, but everyone who has F-Secure is also getting this error. The people w/o an anti virus who are getting it have the same tool name detected, while the F-Secure people have a different one. There are 2 files that don't want to work with XTrap atm. -

Guys who gettimg error coz of F-Secure
here ur solution
1rst Unistall F-Secure
2nd Unistall CF
3rd Install CF
4th Re-boot Computer
5th Start and Enjoy the Game
Unfortunatly i dont use the F-Secure thats why i still cant play((( -
But what about F- Secure after I have rebooted. You see I do not want to get rid of F-Secure as is does a very good job at protecting my computer. If I use this method will I be able to re-installed F-Secure on my computer with crossfire still working?Guys who gettimg error coz of F-Secure

Im gonna try next download F-Secure install it,unistall CF install CF reboot computer.
and try if it give me another tool name(what u got)Ill unistall F-Secure
Mandek1Yeah I don't really want to uninstall F-Secure. It is a really good anti-virus, firewall, everything. This is the first problem I have ever run into with it. meh I can go without CF for a few days >.< I think....

About that i said about solution i dont really know if its work one guy tried it and now he playing CF -
i get a similar x-trap error but it ends with 625 it seems it only happens when i launch it without compatibility mode and from the desktop shortcut.
it works for me when i launch the game in windows xp service pack 2 compatibility and from the start menu crossfire not the desktop shortcut
you can try it out i dont guarantee it will work for you but it's worth a shot -

Im using Windows XP SP3
2nd i cant even start game coz when im clicking to start CF its on 1 second showing me Login Pic. and then im getting xTrap error -
like i said i dont guarantee it will work but thats what was happening to me it was showing the log in screen but giving me the xtrap error straight away
and if it says your svchost.exe is the problem then open task manager arrange all the processes by name then open your cf and see which scvhost.exe uses the most cpu/mem usage then try closing it, be careful of which one you close though because it might give you the shut down message lol
dont worry though its perfectly safe it just shuts down your comp and you just have to turn it back on just annoying having to turn it back on again lol -

i HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM
08-0400-00000000-516 i have the same problem but ends with 516 i have this problem 1 year now iam realy mad z8 do nothing -.-.. start working because i paid for this game and i want to play stop using xtrap do something.................. talk to them .. i try to delet all the things i was using i desabilitate the fire wall too..(idk why) and didnt work wtf should we do? -
Nope, sorry I keep trying different stuff but nothing works. I'll let you know if I find anything that works.

P.S. I've been trying to get it to work for 1 and a half days now, I wish xtrap would hurry up and release an update to fix this error, because I cannot find anything that works. -
dude ITS NOT US THAT NEED TO FIX THIS BUG IS Z8 AND XTRAP . they must fix it... its their job. i guess the only way to them answer us and.. do something is if we all together creat a lot of topics with the bug

That is actually a good idea because if they have alot of people complaining to them they will have to fix it, and if they do not they could lose a lot of crossfire players.
I just hope that they get it fixed soon, I've already missed 2 and a half days of crossfire play time, and what makes it even worse is that its 10% extra xp this weekend which im missing.
