  • Interesting and informative thread that speaks the truth. Well done. :)
  • Except when you give him mod status

RELATED TO POST : AWESOME THREADd... VERY TRUE

Hey, when I was a mod I couldn't speak my mind anymore, just like when you work at Wal-Mart you can't go around and say to the customers: "Wal Mart sucks, here is why."

I doubt you would understand, as you've never had a job and according to your forum posts live a totally comfortable life being supported by your family. Some people are content to be leeches I suppose...

I very kindly provided alternatives to dealing with things that people complain about in the game. I also said it wouldn't do you any good to complain, not that you were going to have to stop.

Apparently, it's not of importance to anyone as you can see from the statements above. It was simply stating observations. No I am not complaining about anything. Feel free to read or don't. Doesn't bother me in any way :D

the person above u just wants posts, ignore plz

youd be fired im pretty sure
  • We could just ban BR's eh? Eh? Surely that would reduce the demand for hacks in CrossFire, and ultimately the supply because there wouldn't be anywhere near as many people to buy them. I mean... I don't mind because I'm not BR and I don't know anybody that is, Argentina is a different story >.>
  • people cant take 2 minutes out of their day to read a well constructed and intelligent thread?

    exactly, qft xD

You're being ignorant. Do you have EXACT numbers, in Crossfire of each and every race that plays, of who hacks and who doesn't hack? More than just BR's hack, more than just BR's lag, more than just BR's don't speak English. Why not say ban everyone except North America and Canada? I bet you we would still have hackers and the only problem solved is you not having to deal with them. Z8Games loses out on a ton of money in that situation. Not going to happen.
  • A very well written post . And I agree :) wish more people would write more serious threads of value instead of the usual jargon . But of course most of the people complaining will never read this post .What a shame . All though it is frustaring trying to shoot someone teloporting accross the map . I have pretty much just learned to live with it , its just not going away .
  • Then what would we do if people started making private rooms with friends?
All I see is now rooms with the lock symbol spamming the servers.
My point just learn to deal with em. If you cant then go play another game.
  • Although you have a very good post, well constructed and thought out, like everything however there is always flaws.

    1) What if you don't have friends or a clan? The only way you are gonna get any is by going to pubs. And its not always guaranteed. Also, not everyone goes to the forums to get such either.

    2) Playing with friends or clan mates won't help you improve your skill by much. Also, more likely than not, you or the poor sap suffering the brunt of low frags will not enjoy being torn apart with little chance of recovering. Plus, they aren't there 24/7 to play with you.

    3) Why should you have to create a private room just to enjoy a game that was meant to be public and f2p? Then again, doesn't help that the "You have been kicked without penalty, unless you count the wasted time and your precious zp items being drained." comes up, so cutting losses? Not fun at all.

    4) It shouldn't be hard to locate the problem when forwarded and find a way to find a happy medium. Anyone who has gone to play CF China will notice a huge difference. Why when I play there, there's virtually 0 kicks, its so bloody rare. Everyone is calm, doesn't complain, even if a hacker is in the room. Its fun and enjoyable and you don't have to hide in private rooms.

Hrm... Simple solution. lol I think if anyone read it, their alternative is clear if they are unhappy with services and don't want to hide in private rooms.
  • I understand your points. However, I was not suggesting that you have to go hide in private rooms. It's up to you if you want to play public games or private games. No one has to hide anywhere. This was geared towards a specific group of people who complain all the time about a specific group of people, or hacks, or whatever they complain about. It so happens that group is very large. No one ever said you have to hide in any sort of room. But there are alternatives accessible to pretty much anyone if they are not happy with the game.

Hacks are here to stay it seems, as its a never-ending cycle, lest they somehow make EVERYTHING server sided (which has problems all on its own, if its even possible with CF). I'm done fretting over those, being a inconvenience. At least with them, you still play. Indeed, there is always alternatives. Mind you, not all are accessible. Sadly, its not really the game thats at fault overall, its the people who play it. Too much bad blood. Even gets under my skin some days. I just find it funny an sister version of the game is so different to ours in alot of ways. But its the same game.

Unfortunately, hacks will be around until there is a 100% Detection-rate anti-cheat system. Guess what? That will never happen. ACS companies are in to make money as well. Where do Anti-Cheat companies make money? Recurring maintenance fees. Why would someone create a 100% working, non by-passable anti-cheat? For a one-time payment? Never going to happen, sadly.

Give this game some time. Most people don't have the patience to wait around for the good things to come. This version will be as good as the others in due time. I guess we'll just have to see who waits around for it to happen
