Mouse & Mousepad Choice
Currently i have a Logitech g500 on a Steelseries QcK. The g500 sometimes has be switching between grips as i do get uncomfortable. Also the mousepad is fine but i have never used a hard plastic pad such as the 4hd or 9hd from steelseries. I am looking to try out some new combination (mouse + mousepad) to see if they work better for me. Your input if you have experience with any of these mice or know something you think i may not is greatly appreciated.

Mousepad

Steelseries QcK (current, i have the medium sized one.): http://www.steelseries.com/us/products/surfaces/qck/information
Do not recommend any razer mice or mouse pads as i will not purchase mouse equipment from them.
Keep in mind i have tried the mx518 and it doesn't suite my play/mouse holding style due to it's optical engine having too high of a lift off distance.

i used mx518 and steelseries QcK+ -
funny, that's why the best counter strike players in the world use Steelseries right?
lol razer fails.....i bought a razer mouse i forgot wutz it called.....good only for 3 monthz...wasted 80 dollars...steelseries are used by pro counter strike players and other fps games...steelseries is the best brand for headsets and mousepad.. -
if u play only crossfire any 1000 dpi mouse will do. if your also playing cs, css and so on
it can pay off.
not about dpi for me right now. my current mouse goes up to 5700, but i only use 800. It's all about the optics and other details ( i won't get into) that affect your aim/general movements. -

its the same thing with digital cameras. customers rather go for the 16megapixel sensor than for a 10. even if the 10 makes way better pictures without noise.
i use 1000 in cf and 1500 in cs -
You would probably have better luck with such a request on other forums such as GameFAQs' PC board, [H]ard|Forum, Tom's Hardware, Anandtech, etc etc.
Personally, however, I would stick with the G500. I recently bought one and researched into the type of mousepad it requires and learned that there is slight deceleration on a cloth mousepad, so I suggest going with one that has a hard surface. I was recommended a $20 Rocketfish pad from Best Buy but I think you probably want better [google "g500 mousepad"]. -

i have the kinzu, great mouse. its on the small side, but unless you have giant hand there is no need to worry about that.
I'd say my hands are average if not slightly bigger. just under 8 inches from the tip of my wrist to my middle finger.
How do you grip that mouse? With my current mouse i use a mix between a palm and claw grip (MIDDLE one in the image below)
