I will take a look at all these weapons when I go in-game, most likely later tonight. However, I am an old school FPS player. In most games so far it has been the M4A1 or AK47 for a primary weapon and the Desert Eagle as a secondary weapon. This seems to be pretty similar in the responses and threads I have read so far. I will probably start there and work my way through other weapons.
Any particular place to play that would be better than the standard public rooms?
Trainee server is great for beginners. Alpha is great for after that. delta is better for experienced players.
Pugs are for pros
I get 1.5 kd in pugs. -
At Bruce: You could possibly think about doing some sort of fan-site where you can do things like broadcasting, videos, events etc. I haven't seen anything as of yet here where someone does something like that outside of these forums. Might be a good idea in the future. Just speculating here.
Well I don't want to give it too much thought right now. Depending on how things in my life go, anything is possible.

Hey,welcome to the forums. In less than 10 mins there is a WOGL(major CF tournament) semi-final between probably the 2nd and 3rd best clans (LPK and SNSD),might be an interesting watch for you.

This game,you'll probably complain a lot- you'll get annoyed,but its still addicting and the pugs/scrims/drafts are really good fun! Pubbing is pretty horrible since there are a load of spamming,hacking,glitching and generally annoying foreigners. You'll see what I mean =P

Thanks Ru5t. I might go watch that just to see what it's all about. As to the locations of playing, I would rather not play in the Rookie server. I'd rather learn with a higher level of players. That's worked pretty well so far in the past. Should work out in this game as well.

Well then go into Alpha server channel 7 and join an asian room. They all have SPOP, armor, and some of them arent terrible players. Otherwise try and join a decent team and scrim. You just have to find one thats willing to take on someone new to the game. -

You can grab all those out of Alaska.
I'd suggest hooking him up with a QBZ and a G36, as both of those have a pretty unique feel. I'm wishing I had bought the QBZ. -

It will take a while to get adjusted. As per the QBZ, I'll definitely keep an eye out for it. I'll see if I can test one in-game to see how the weapon mechanics are. I'm assuming the competitive mode is Search and Destroy?

Search and Destroy, definitely
However Ghost Mode is trying to become more of a competitive mode, but it will only go so far in my opinion. -
Awesome. Any opinions on how "strategic" this game is? Do most clans employ standard, basic, easy-to-learn strategies or are there some creative minds out there confusing the hell out of people with complex strategies?
For the record: I'm all for the "out-of-the-box" strategies. Standard strategies are easy for opponents to pick up on.
