Couldn't Patch

ok... so i just installed the game because of my friend told me, but for somereason my patch does nothing.. it just pops up and it doesnt verify or download ANY files..

please help i wanna play :P

EDIT:
ok, and now this:
i click start game, the **** dissapears, but the process of the patcher is still there..

    Go to task manager end the cfpatcher.exe or restart computer and reinstall CF. Also tell me what operating system you are running.

    i already did what you said, i rebooted pc like 5times, reinstalled 3times and it didnt worked..

    look this is just what it does:

    and i just have a windows XP with 512mb ram

    Patcher Problem

    I have the same issue this is the third time I have tried crossfire and it always ends up the same. I updated all my cards Ive restarted, got a new installation file and reinstalled. I also shut off my anti-virus I am not a fan of running completely open. I have done everything that I was told to do to patch this game and cannot play it I am just curious but is it possible to manually patch I mean come on how hard would that be? I am running windows XP with 2.5g ram a 1g graphics card and I have a dual core.

    I realize you guys say you disabled your anti-virus. Did you also disable your anti-virus during the download as well?
    Are you admin for the pc you are doing it on?
    Perhaps your firewall is preventing it....

    Well.
    You can download the latest client which doesnt need a patch if its not working.
