PSG-1 Design Glitch?

NOTE: I dont know if anyone has posted this before, or even suggested it before.

The PSG-1, When you pick it up it is Black all over.

But When you drop it.....

It turns Into a Grey Camouflaged Orange rimmed Colour.

They changed that in the patch that released MSG90 (I think) because on the floor they look very much the same. (correct me if I'm wrong)

it looks like the UV texture map for the 3D model doesn't fit anymore.
