Custom Maps

So i did a bit of searching and googling. Do you guys support any customs maps made by the community? I couldn't find any SDK or any map editors that the community could use. Maybe then we can have more content(maps). I think having a contest every month to vote on a map made by people to be available on the next patch so that everyone can use it.

Any other customs maps made will have to be custom games where like a group of people have it and play it together. They have to download it separately if u know what i mean.

well saying is easy but making the map would take much work and time and then patching and then people will be QQ'in about cf doesnt start up and there fps and stuff know im say'n?

There are people out there who will take the time and is devoted to making maps. Like myself. I have made several maps before for Medal of Honor Allied Assault and the other expansions for that game. Looking at the maps on CF, its small compared to the stuff I make. And about patching, it be once month? It was just an idea so Z8Games can get the modding community up and running.

For the other guys post, I am suggesting a feature, and idea. I obviously know there are no customs maps. Please read and answer constructively.

Not bad, in fact i like it.

A solution to know what maps are supported by the community or not is a vote feature. Once every 2-3 weeks the top 3 most voted custom maps will be added.

But in order for that you need to create an overhead map, a detailed walkthrough of the map. Describe it using any means. And add a vote feature.

Yeah, having custom community maps would be great but would have restrictions if you wanted yours to be public. I give a +1. Too bad it obviously is not going to happen.

Oh yeah, and if this game did have an SDK(U_U), then chances are...it would make hackers less preventable, since a SDK usually means some kind of scripting environment.

We dont have custom maps... but your idea is interesting (the montly mapping contest)... dev's would have less works or would have more help... and most importantly... the community would feel much more like someone is listening to them.

Closest thing that you can get to Crossfire / map editing is that SDK source (i think) and counter strike 1.6 / counter strike source. CF is a rip off of CSS/CS 1.6 so you will probably fit right in, other then the skilled players that the game has. + when you make your own map, IT WONT BE GLITCHYYY *kids cheering YAYYYYYY*
