Drafts and Pugs
Drafts
Ok , so i have noticed that the amount on people on Drafts are going down and various Ventrilo's /organisations are competing against each other for getting the most players. I think this is a wrong thing. The community is probably the most dividend that it has ever been. For example the 2 biggest Draft hoster's WOGL and CFGL have there Draft on the same day and are competing against each other. Back in the days you had a 16 team WOGL draft these days we have 8 to 10 teams which is a drop of 30/40 players.
Now i am not saying that there should not be a second org to host drafts i am just saying work together promote each other for the game and discuss on when your gonna hold drafts so you won't make it on the same day and possible steal players from each other. This will result on a bigger and less dividend community.
Pugs
There isn't 1 good pug vent out there at this moment. We had various pug vents in the past month(s) which all died prety soon.
What you don't want
A Pug vent should not be run by 1 player or 1 owner this will make him ruler and make a sort of mini dictator ship , because he will make his friends staff. His friend hates a guy (most likey with the name Treni ,Pikey , Sauce or Dren) bans him players get mad troll the vent and people stop coming or are going to leave. Or the owner is immature and will start a b1ttching and rapping when there is suppose to be a pug or a draft.
What do you want
In my eyes the best way to run a pug vent is letting a org run it for example WOGL could run it but this is most likely not going to happen. The second best is that the leading clan or the leading group of players (This is still LifeLine) or atleast a respective and older group of players make a ventrilo and run pugs on it with a strict rules set good and mature admins ( mature means 18+ no exceptions )
So everyone knows what they can and can not do.
I made this thread by my expierence of the European pug vent.

The major problems I have seen with past PUG/PUGG Vents:
1) There is 1 purpose in these events. To have fun and to throw just a bit of a competitive element in there to spice it up, still being fun though. These vents after a couple weeks got away from that idea and it became just something for people to do. Didn't mean they enjoyed going to PUGs, but there was nothing else to do. It has to stay fun and for enjoyment. Not all out battles to see who is the Champion and all this crap.
2) Rule set - In this community, you have to write "literal" rules for the people to understand. You can not assume people will figure out what "don't horse around" means. If you want it to be known, write the rule out. Regardless of what it is. Expanding on that, once these vents established rules, many of those rules were "Relaxed" and "broken" for certain people and that led to users simply pushing those rules to where they didn't even exist anymore. That's not how it's done. -

Honest opinion -
There needs to be a vent for only pick-up-games. A daily, open all the time PUG vent. Don't even go into drafts. Just run PUGs all the time. Set up a general rule set with 3-4 Admins and just let it go.
The Forumers rooms need a vent. Could go well as they are very similar in concept. -

Also stop talking about yourself. You did everything there. You forgive blantant hackers because "They're my friends", you ban people on a pug draft for asking you for armor print among other biased stuff. If I recall you got "discharged" of EU pug vent organizer. -
Concentrate on Region Pug Vents, rather than different people rivaling each other for eRep.
I'd say Famous and his crew can take UK pugs, and the whole large group of NA puggers can work on perfecting One vent.
Possibly, we can get Styx or someone to work on a West Coast Vent.
Then, we have no other Pug vents, and everyone has fun in their Region vents

Nice subliminal message from you to claiming i was the only in charge ,which is the truth at the end dot didn't do anything. I made some plans and thoughts want went wrong and want didn't went wrong we should talk., xfire/vent

Pugs seem to die out after awhile due to bad owners, or a certain group of people that need to ruin it for the rest of the community. Drafts tend to last, yet there ran by WOGL and Combat FPS (I think), and some players are banned from WOGL, etc.
Personally WOGL should do their thing, a weekly draft, on one day. Have Combat FPS do their draft on a different day, or just at a different time. Different day because I don't think Combat FPS will ever have what it takes to compete with WOGLs playerbase.
So a week of Crossfire could look something like this.
Monday: Pug
Tuesday: Pug
Wednesday: Nothing -> Or GM Draft?
Thursday: Pug
Friday: WOGL Draft
Saturday: Combat FPS Draft
Sunday: Insert another draft or a pug.
Obviously days could be changed, and times and whatnot, but that is just my example.
