whats ping

if i remember, Ping is the distance from your computer to the host and back. So the higher the ping, it means that you are farther away from the host. The lower the closer you are to the host. Ping is the the speed in which data is being communicated from one source to the host and back.

Ping is the time it takes for your computer to communicate with the server. This can be increased by...
1. Not enough bandwith
2. Slow/old modem/router/switch
3. Just a bad internet provider
4. Location, AKA someone out in the middle of nowhere is going to be slower then someone in the city, in most cases.(Because of distance from a switch)
5.Last and most obviously, your distance from the server.
I think ping is 1/100 a second? Correct me if im wrong, so like 300ping is about 3second delay between you and the server.
But like the guy said, High ping=bad Low ping=good
I dont pretend to be an expert on this, just stating the basics. -
