Trivia

Well, I thought about the missions in Crossfire while I was about to go to sleep. Then I thought of some new ways to gain GP, and then it hit me. Trivia.

The Trivia could be that you get 1-5 questions a day, if you answer it right, you get GP and MAYBE dogtags.
The questions is about the forums and Crossfire of course, and maybe about some event or tournament going on.

After a question has been asked, the one going to answer can either choose between a couple of answers, or write the answer in depending on the question.

Example questions are these.

Which of these is NOT a moderator no longer.

Rex.

Greycloak.

Chaoswrath.

D34D3Y3.

How to answer: There should be a box next to each name which you got to click, after you click a box pops up saying "Are you sure?", you can either hit yes or no, but you need to hit yes to go to the next question.

Another example is.

What is the name of the tournament going on?

How to answer: You have to write the name of the tournament in a box that pops up and hit ok, the "are you sure" box pops up again and we have to hit yes to continue.

Answer is WOGL.

Q&A
(Bolded white in Questions. Yellow in answers.)

What can we win?
You can win GP and even Dogtags depending on how hard and how many the questions are.

Is it much GP?
That depends on the difficulty on the question, some questions will give you 100 and some will give you up to 500 GP.

Why do we need this?
Well, people have always wanted more GP, so why not add some sort of bonus to the missions?

What do you mean by that?
What I mean is that it can be an addon to the missions, which will help you get more GP and the remaining dogtags.

How many questions do I have to answer to get a dogtag?
4 out of 4 or 5 out of 5 questions. Everything else will only give you GP.

How is this organized?
I think the schedule should be that the questions depend on the day. Like this.

Questions - difficulty ----day---- reward.
----1\2
Easy
Monday----50 GP each correct answer.
----4
Easy
Tuesday----50 GP each correct answer, dogtag + 250 GP if all the answers are correct.
----1\3
Medium----Wednesday--100 GP each correct answer.
----4
Medium----Thursday---75 GP each correct answer, dogtag + 350 GP if all the answers are correct.
----1\3
Hard
Friday
150 GP each correct answer.
----4
Hard
Saturday---100 each correct answer, dogtag + 450 GP if all the the answers are correct.
----5
Expert
Sunday
Need to have all the answers correct. 2 Dogtags + 1000 GP if all the answers are correct.

Can't this get abused?
I doubt it can get abused, unless you go to the forums and ask, but the ones who do that should only be looked down at. It's only for fun, and for getting GP. It'll be a nice addon to the Mission mode.

How will we get the rewards?
Same as the mission mode, after you complete the trivia, you get the reward.

Is this in another version of Crossfire?
Not that I know of, I only thought of this idea yesterday.

Will it ever come to the NA Crossfire?
It all depends if the developers like this suggestion, it may come, but it may also not come. You never know.

  • Put up a new Q&A saying how you get the reward. :)
  • You think they wont be lazy enough to put it? Me likey!
  • A lazy person like me could use this.

  • Ahhhh

Dude if they wanted to let the community have more gp, they would of made the rewards from each fight higher. So far they don't want you to get more gp and 500 gp a day is crap. In the end they want you to realize that if you want more gp you got to get zp. That's how they do business since they started.

Don't get me wrong, everyone would like more gp, and i believe that your idea is great, but it's unlikely they will even waste their time coding for it, just beside the fact they don't want the community rich from just simple playing, they want you to buy zp.

    Good luck,
    God bless you.

You get 500 gp for the mission and additional gp for the trivia, that's about 700-1k gp a day if you do everything, that is actually A LOT.

The yellow text fried my eyes :(

OT: Very good suggestion even though I suck doing trivias XD
  • Excellent idea,

problem is that questions need to be made often, that would be troublesome. I dont mind if the questions loop, but that wouldnt be fun now would it?
  • Good idea Seb. We need some things the other versions dont have. Hope this gets somewhere.
  • Thanks for the replies people, but please don't quote the whole message.

Dual - Yeah, the questions could loop every once in a while, but if it ever comes out i'd be happy to make questions if i'm allowed. :)
  • A little too complicated, but it might actually work. Altho somehow, it looks weird to have a quizz into an FPS game Oo

The Trivia could be some sort of "Test" to see if you are quallified to be a soldier?

More likely if you are a forumer or not, but it depends on the questions.
  • Hm, that would give too much advantage to forumers.. More than half the community in game doesn't even know the forum's existance. I doubt it happens, but yeah, i support.

Don't have to be forum questions, it can be something simple as. "Which characters cost ZP" or something like that?
  • Kind of weird that a trivia would be in an FPS game, but the rewards are so epic. Hell, I just want gps to repair my weapons.

    Excellent suggestion buddy.

Think of it as an exam.
    That changes every day.
  • Would this be daily like the missions or could you take the trivia more than once a day?
If so, I'm pretty sure it'll be abused.

    Edit:
And considering the amount of people using the forum compared to the amount of people playing, maybe you should concentrate on questions in regards of the game and not the forum.
Unless your primary goal is to attract more people to the Z8games forum.

Once a day just like the missions.

Well, I meant mostly questions about the news, events and the game. And maybe some on the forums.

I think we would should also be able to choose the dogtag we need if we get all the questions right... or include a bonus section for that kind of reward...

    btw good suggestion

No, dogtags should stay random, if we get to choose which dogtag we get it'd be no fun.
