Scrim/pubbing/warring

Scrim is a clan war. It is Clan Vs. Clan. In either Clan Server, or UK Clan Server.
There can be any mode excluding Mutation Mode and Escape Mode, and any Map. There are two halves, which vary among mode. Clans battle it out to see who reigns victorious. -
Now warring I think I understand and pubbing is understandable too but what does scrim actually mean??
I came from cs and we never used terms like that....thanks in advance.
US players call it a scrim.
Euro players call it a PCW or Practice Clan War.
Competitive gaming is sort of like: Pubs (Public games) -> Pugs (Pick up games) -> Scrims/PCW (Practice matches) -> Match/CW (The important stuff) -
Okay, here goes:
Pub = Public Game. A game open for anyone to play, regardless if you know them.
Locked Pub = Locked Public Game. A game open for any player that has the password to the room. Some players can guess at your password if it is easy.
Pug = Pick Up Game. A game which is usually hosted on Ventrilo. It consists of captains, picking players just like a pick up game in your average gym class.
Draft = Draft Games. A whole bunch of games going on in a mini tournament fashion, using Pug team picking styles.
Scrim = Scrimmage/Scrim. A clan battle, usually in Clan channel.
Clan War = Clan War, warring. An important clan battle, for example, WOGL games.
