[DISCUSSION] Same game play, new ideas?

So I have seen a couple threads come up lately involving events such as FuzzButt's Cross Fire Veterans Day and Think's M4 game play and I wanted to get more community ideas to expand on those. We all know what everyone wants from G4Box/Z8 Games and Cross Fire. I think it's safe to say that the things we want may not always be the things we will get. So we have to make best with what we have, which is not ALL that bad.

I want to open the floor up to people's unique ideas for events that could be hosted by players, in-game to help "spice" things up from the ordinary day-to-day Cross Fire. I'm not talking PUGs or Tournaments necessarily, but small things like what I mentioned above.

Public, user-hosted rooms at specified times with specific weapon/item rules and specifications.
Small, events such as the CF Veterans Day idea.

I know I said the floor is open for any and all ideas. However, please keep them to logical, realistic ideas that users could actually participate in or host. As I said before, we have to make do with what is on the table and that includes the good AND the bad. So let's put our heads together and come up with some new ideas. It's not only up to Z8 Games to make this a better game. We as the community have to pitch in on our end as well.

That's a good idea to start with. I'm seeing Styx/Us3rk start "Forumer" rooms which is a good start. Maybe that can be expanded on for fun or for a bit of competition, tailored to the hosts specifications.

Example:

Thread: Forumers Room - See rules within.
- M4 and Desert Eagle only

OR

No SPOP and No Scar Light

With a public room, I'm sure people will be willing to cooperate with a couple user-specified rules. These things will get people to play together under a known group of users. Maybe a known group every day or every week. That group can only get bigger as time goes on.

I think a simple room such as:

5 v 5 with spectators open
M16/M700
Melee combat allowed (knifing if you are within range)
No grenades
No sidearms
No other items
Standard characters only

Would be a fun test of playing with the ABSOLUTE bare minimum. It's still a pub room, but with a twist. No competition involved, just for kicks.
