what are noob's weapons ?

-Scar Light
-Kriss Super V
-Thompson

The most notable of the "Noob Cannons" are the M12s, P90 (not really a noob weapon, but the ugly looks make people feel uhh...its hard to say), Scar-L I believe the M4A1 Custom is also in the list.
A weapon that has just recently made its way to the list is the new one-shot semi-automatic sniper rifle.
Plus, I believe the Dual colts are also weapons people hate being killed by.

If you go to noob TDs, they don't have the rank for the gun.
If you play EM, you can't use your own guns (exception Alaska & Prison).

I take it you have always been the less-than-average pubber who relies on ping & OP weapons to succeed and therefore feel happy about himself. The Kriss is the same deal as the M12. It doesn't have as many disadvantages as the rest of the guns, which puts it on an uneven playing field.

The only thing more annoying are people who defend such OP weapons. Noobcannons remove the need for strats and playstyles. A team running all M12's simply can rush and overwhelm a site or base.

Noobcannons - guns that almost anyone can pick up and do better with. Give a M12 user a rifle and see how good they go, honestly.

You're right, you shouldn't. G4Box did a terrible job balancing the weapons. What gets to me is that people like vey2 take it out on the players who use it. CF has like 3 good guns, and if you choose not to use them, you lose all your b-tching rights.

Every play cs? There are like 3 guns out of dozens that are any good, and everyone uses them. No one there complains because the game isn't chock full of retarts like CF is.

Anyway, the reason they have these "Lower skill weapons" (noob guns) in the game is the same reason that CoD had grenade launchers, claymores, and other stupid perks: They want the game accessable to ALL skill levels so people will keep playing.



Imagine you're switching over to a new fps game. You go in there and get owned hard by people with a year+ of experience. Nobody likes getting owned. If there was a weapon that you could get that would make it easier for you to get kills and own people, I bet you would all pick it up and use it. The alternative is getting owned everyday until you either improve or quit. And since they have a year+ of experience on you, it is going to be a while until you can hang with them.


Anyone can kill with the scar light/m12/tommy gun. That is why they're banned from leagues and looked down upon by the competitive community. Because the competitive community prides itself on skill, things that take no skill (Like rattling off 10 pin point Scar Light shots) are frowned upon.

I find it funny how people call me a noob if I use the Kriss, despite the fact that their score is negative. To me that would imply that the person complaining is, in fact, the noob.

Face it, there are good guns and there are bad guns. The kriss, m12s, thompson, etc are all good guns. Don't get all bent out of shape because you get killed by one.
