Disconnect

Ok in the past 2 mins I have been kicked off crossfire 3 times. Once for a freeze in game and disconnect, one for logging back in and disconnect then once for a hack tool detected disconnect. I don't hack so crossfire fix you servers I see that new hardware is working really well.

It is clearly not the CrossFire server problem.
It is your connection between CrossFire and your computer, so please check your internet connection and make sure all internet is running fine and add SERVER1=74.200.6.161, SERVER2=74.200.6.163to your router firewall exception list.

I'm kind of slow, but where exactly would the "router firewall exception list" be on a Linksys router?
  • yes its the crossfire problem.. it only happend after the escape mode patch.. so

Learn something... Stop taking crossfire's side.. its clearly there fault.. if i was playing fine after 1 day.. and the next patch i DC

Then please explain why other people like me and players who currently in-game doesn't have this problem?
  • Cuz if u got windows vista and your hooked up to a desktop.. u cant play

    End/
  • This problem has nothing to do with the router as my brother is connected to the same router and he is able to play without a disconnection also he is on windows 7 so Idk if that makes a difference
  • disconnected

You can try to do that using Window's Firewall.

Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> Exceptions
Then add your CrossFire folder to the exception list, then add the ports 13008 and 16666
  • Ahh this is all humbug I did all that stuff even did it for my router...either I didnt forward my ports on my router right or it really is an issue with CF =/

  • It must be your computer.

I know because I have both Windows 7 (Ultimate), and Windows XP (Desktop).

On Windows XP, you lag and most likely to Disconnect, like whenever you try to get close to someone and your screen randomly freezes from hearing ONLY 2 gunshot sounds.

On Windows 7 Ultimate or Professional, (because if you play it on Home-Premium, your mouse will not respond), you lag a little, but most likely NOT Disconnect because I've tested them both.

If its neither, It's probably your Router/Modem (Internet Connection).

If its not that either, then play on what computer you have and wait for a patch that will constantly fix this problem :/.

Yes, it has a HUGE difference because Windows 7 is a stable and sensitive, while some others are a Free-for-all if you know what I mean.

  • I would upgrade to windows 7 if ventrilo was actually compatible with it, and possibly had more RAM on my computer
  • Haha clearly it's must be a problem on my side huh smarty pants? I have been playing this game for over a year and didn't have a problem like that ever before so I highly doubt it was on my side. Who are you anyway the crossfire support fairy? I was informing crossfire of a problem not you. So hero mind your own business unless you have information that can really help someone.
  • 1Blind1 i Agree with you.. i have been playing this game for so long.. and then... EVERYBODY at the same time is saying that they DC because of the new patch.... its the new patches.. fault.. cuz i dont DC in the clan Sever cuz theres no escape mode in the clan sever
