Source engine actually. HL2 DM was mediocre. It felt pretty halfhearted, as if some Valve devs got bored one day and tossed some netcode on HL2. Play CS:S if you want a Source based shooter..CookieMunzta wrote: »That uses the Quake engine, amirite?

Half Life and CS1.6 basically use their own engine. It was in fact based off the Quake engine, but about 70% of the coding was done by Valve. Ahh I see, not too much of a Half-Life or CS fan, so I'm completely new to both of those
I've heard the Source engine is a huge improvement on both of the former, is that right?
I prefer an engine similar to that of UT2K4, and to a certain extent, that of UT3.
