ATTENTION: Global Risk GM Public Service Announcement
Attention all GM players that play on the Global Risk side: This is an urgent message to help you complete your objective more efficiently. First of all, let's start off with a well known fact: guns can only hold so much ammo. When your mag runs out while shooting a ghost at medium to short range, what do you do? A lot of people will tell you that the most potent move is to reload. Well, these people are probably trying to get you killed, seeing as how that's what's probably going to happen. If the enemy is at medium range, you can use a sidearm, and you can usually take them down before they get to you. If they are at close range however, there is a better move you can make then either pressing R or 2... it is a very unused tactic in GM, it's very simple, and it is shown to be horribly effective at not only killing an enemy, but also staying alive. Most people would never even consider doing this as Global Risk, but odds are it could have saved them more times than they could count. And the tactic of which I speak of is...

Yes, melee. Knifes, axes and shovels. These all are very effective at killing ghosts. However, approximately 80% of GM players forget that they even have these tools at their disposal. In a close quarters situation, there's nothing wrong with taking out a melee weapon. If you can see a ghost and they're trying to stab you, then if you melee back, you are at an almost equal playing field. If you're trying to reload your gun, they have the advantage for approximately 2.3 seconds. That's MORE than long enough to kill you. If you're trying to Desert Eagle someone to death, you have to hit a barely visible target 2-3 times before or more you die or run out of ammo. That's also after a one second pull out time in which you have no defense. In long range firearms work well, but in a surprise ghost battle, there is no substitute for a quick knife to the face. So remember: the next time you think you're screwed in a GM battle, remember your rarely used but highly effective blade. It very well could save your life.
