Axe kill badge not showing up

Greetigns cf community,

The fisrt time I bought a shovel I was quite disturbed because there was no kill badge for that melee weapon (it is the same as the knife) but then I had won an axe in crates (several times) and noticed the axe had a kill badge so I was happy it looked awesome...
Yesterday when I finally got the 10th mission done I won as many of us the 7 day Combat Axe. So I put down the shovel for an entire game to test the axe (axe mentioned before was liek a year ago^^ so had been long time since I haven't used axe) and I noticed after a few kills that the Axe kill badge wasn't showing up.
So what I would like here is people to tell me if they see the axe kill badge and why I don't (and if it's possible how to make it work again).
