Thoughts On Computer Parts
I just want something simple, run games like CF at ok Speed.
Was looking for >$700. This all together with the keyboard, mouse, and headset is 727$. Though the mouse is outa stock.

For the price, this is a great freaking list!:D
I dislike the headphones however, for gaming even they aren't extremely accurate (there are better alternatives, at amazon you can get Audio-Technica's and far more capable ones at that. But if a person wants to get everything all from one site, then they'll work fine). Mouse is so-so (it's old and I love the G5 and G500 upgrades).
It's actually almost the same as my friend jsv35's list over at EggXpert (Newegg's own forum).
I'd put these in instead:
A slightly faster memory alternative (lower latency, higher heat tolerance):

Slightly faster HDD:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148433
The next pricier option would be this (with the rest of the list):
Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128405
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115215
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119197
The case and CPU would far outstrip the above, but would cost quite a bit more. For the price, it'd be reasonable to drop in an AMD Phenom X6 instead of an i5-750.;)
A 5770 would help boost gaming performance quite a bit for the small price increase, but it works in the system Rex built for the price limit.
I like the list though. A 5750 should hit a solid 50-60FPS @1024x768 minimum with the system setup you have 16 players on any of the maps. More then enough to play CF!
BTW, I had my Logitech G5 for 4 years, and then I had to either replace them mouse pads which were almost completely worn off or get a new mouse. I got the G500, lol.
Respectfully,

garbage. the one that he built is 2x better in terms of performance. just goes to show how much better and cheaper building a computer is.
yes that headset is bad. get the plantronics gamecom 367 if you want something good an inexpensive. -

really reliable.
I'd back this up +1
If you can't get your hands on one of those, though, try this:
The Microsoft Razer Habu is a pretty good mouse, feels comfortable, and has a good amount of on board buttons and features, excellent for quick scoping. Immediately interchangable 400, 800, 1600, and 2000 dpi aswell, so better to change sensitivity depending on how many people enter the match.

Better than a Deathadder imo. -
For the same price I'd recommended a G500 for right handed users. Not left handed users grant you, but it's far better IMO to the Razor Deathadder. A ton of buttons and 5700 DPI and great design with thumb support = awesomeness.CookieMunzta wrote: »I'd back this up +1

Maybe it's just me though, I've had both but I've got big hands and the G500 just naturally feels better.
I just noted something however. The PSU can barely support the system. It really got skimped on Rex, ya might want to get a better one. Case PSU's have this uncanny thing known as reliability issues. Lol. I'd just be careful with it if I were you. The 460w fits the systems fudge factor but the voltage spikes can sometimes peak pretty high with some applications, luckily Crossfire isn't very CPU/GPU intensive...;)
