rez\Snd2\Ghost\Etc Issues

I'm trying to install the latest version of CF on this computer and I click on the official download link on the website. It downloads and I begin to install the game. It goes all well and good but when it gets to the extension in the title all of the files fail to install. I'm reinstalling it because when I had the other client and tried to update it, it would never get passed the 1046 update. If anyone knows what I could do to fix this, I would appreciate it very much.
