Hearing Breath
What kind of headphones should I use? I hear some people say that they use bass quality headphones, but I'm not sure overall. I get killed every now and then by people who can hear breath easily and pinpoint me out without me circling them.
Can you guys hear breath? If so can you tell me what kind of headphones you use, and it would be greatly appreciated if you link me a pair of headphones online that I can use to hear breath.
I really want to get better on the GR side in Ghost Mode. Thanks to all those who reply.

Maybe your problem isn't the headphones maybe you just don't have your volume turned up enough? I guarantee if you have headphones and you turn them up to the point where the sound of an ak47 kind of hurts your ears (don't actually turn it loud enough to make yourself go deaf
) you can hear nearly everything (unless you have a whole team of sprayers -.-)
And if you cant even hear ghosts when they're right beside you either your headphones are not loud enough, or you have them on backwards (you think im kidding, this happens all the time), or you have a team of sprayers firing super loud guns right beside you. I dont know if this makes sense I hope it clarifies some of the problems you may experience. -

LEGURU I'll look into those headphones, and I almost bought Skull Candy headphones until someone convinced me not to.
I wonder how DJ Skull Candy headphones will work...
Also, I tried cranking up the sound, but having to use an RPK, which is as loud, or louder than an AK-47 is reeeeeally hard to do without getting my head blown off. o.o -

Pretty much every head/earphones will do the work if you have "good" ears and know what to listen for! I used to use Philips SPH2500 in the past and was pwning with it. Now I'm using Razer Carcharias headset. It is much better than the cheap Philips ones but it really doesn't matter for me - I hear ghosts no matter what the headset is. As far as my team is not full of silly sprayers of course.

true story i was gonna defuse the bomb and i look into the tunnel and there was a gun sticking out of the wall so i go there and kill the camper and they all start raging omg he knew i was there omg!!!!!11 kick him!!11 and i said i heard his breath cos thats what pros do and they kicked me anyway

KAPBAMBINO said he was "defusing" meaning he was a GR. BL's breath is more noticeable, louder, and more frequent than GR's breath. It is true that you can listen for breath too i believe, but it is possible that the game designed ghost matches to have louder breath sound (dont quote me on this, just a guess)
Did you guys know that both GRs and BLs can bhop in modes other than Ghost Matches as well? if bhop is true, then breath must also be true. -

Go for a decent sound card, and expensive headphones if you actually want to top GM games all the time.
