Video Comp - Hosted by Escape
This is going to be the first editing competition hosted by myself (Escape). I will continue to make these competitions and hopefully with prizes if the community takes interest in these. Please read the rules carefully, I don't want you to be disqualified after all of your hard work. The deadline is set for Friday, July 30th at 11:59pm EST. Any movies sent in after that time and date will NOT be counted.

Minimum Length: 60 seconds
Maximum Length: 120 seconds

Below 200mb
The Frags
You may choose to use any of the ten frags provided, or frags of your own. The frags provided will be found in a zip/rar file at the bottom of the page. This is to allow those who may not have frags at the ready, able to participate, this also adds a uniqueness to the frag videos, so that not all the videos will contain the same frags.
Upload
Your video MUST be uploaded to a file hosting site (megaupload, rapidshare, filefront) and then sent to me via PM. I will then with my panel of judges select the top 5 videos. Those 5 videos will then be uploaded to youtube by me. This will keep all the videos anonymous so it isn't a popularity contest. If you are caught [with evidence] uploading your video or telling anybody which one is yours you will be disqualified.
Voting
All videos must be sent by Friday, July 30th at 11:59pm EST. Judges will look at all the videos that have been entered. From that selection they will choose a top 5, which will be put into the final voting stage. In the final voting stage, users will watch and then vote on which video they think is #1.
The Prize
For now the prize will be bragging rights this may be subject to change.
If the community shows interest I will definitely be giving out prizes in the future.

so i can't put : Cast productions or Seals gaming or whatever ?
you are allowed to render it out after the competition and put in your production or name or w.e.
but in order to make this about the editing and not about the person who made the video. I would like to try to make this as anonymous as possible. The people who made the videos will be revealed at the end as well. -

The judges I have yet to decide whether or not I should ask some friends of mine to view and judge who edit other games, or if I should gather judges from the community. 60 seconds is the MINIMUM the video can be. If it is less that 60 seconds I will not accept it. Same goes for 120 seconds, that is the maximum and if you exceed that I will not accept it.
The reason the date is so far away, is so that people can finish their videos in a good time frame, as well as be able to have time to handle any "rendering issues" they may encounter.
The frags I supplied are not needed to participate. You can use them if you like. In a week I was only given 7 demos from players. Hopefully people will be more interested in the future.
No you CANNOT put your production logo etc.. in because this will HELP give away who you are. I want the videos to be anonymous, you can later "AFTER" the comp, upload your video to your channel with your logos etc.. -

and as I said, you can, after the competition, and advertising your own studio is fine for when you upload after the competition. The whole point is to remain anonymous so that the viewers can decide which video is best made, not who is the most popular guy around.

How about, get your 'friends' from other games to look at everyone's, and let us upload to our own channel.

I would like the CF community to vote who the winner is seeing as how the videos are of crossfire. They would only be choosing the TOP 5 videos. So that no one says the vote is biased for who got in and what not.
Oh and the frags I provided aren't all that special, which is the reason why im allowing people to find their own frags. They aren't that special because my first thread which was looking for frags, had no interest from the player base. In 7 days i received 7 demos. I had to add 3 of my own which were decent clips at best. -
