Questions on editing with Vegas.
I've tried out some basics on Vegas. Hoping some more experienced editors could answer some questions I've got...
Can I speed up using the velocity envelope and get a faster speed than 3x? Using ctrl+drag and velocity achieves 12x, but isn't smooth.
How do I sync game sounds to the video? Audio cannot be "velocity enveloped". I was able to manually add AWM sounds, but with rifling it would get messy.
Is there any way I can have exact values for the velocity envelope or syncing? I can only drag approximately, so it seems sync could be off by a bit.
How do I sync rifle shots? Do I sync the start of the spray (i.e. just syncing the change in situation), every few bullets of it, or just the shot that kills (which could be hard, with latency)?
What exactly do you use to achieve different colours - playing around with the VFX, or an extension (saw something like "MagicBullet")?

If you want to get it smoother record on a higher fps.
Magic bullet looks tutorial, make sure you use magic bullet looks 1.2 not 2.0

I velocity envelope to sync, the tut randomly slows down the clip. The audio wasn't synced at all.
I doubt my computer would be able to record at higher FPS than 24 without losing the quality I'm getting. Could be a necessary sacrifice, I'll see.
I tried some syncing, but YT put it off heaps .__.

You just don't sync them when your using velocity.
Get single sounds if you want to do fast rifle syncs. -
