Hack Tool Detected & Disconnect from Server

it isn't a socet error ,
Someting is REALLY FUC.KED with Z8 since 2 days ,
Was able to play 2 days ago and a lil time yesterday without DC's
But hell no not today

I always re-install this game(crossfire) and when finish patching i get into the game join a game get a good kdr(kill death ratio) and then next thing u know u have been discooooonected from server =[ soo anoooooooooooooyin so z8 i hope u fix this problem i believe many toooooo thx =p

Is it computer, network or Z8Games error?

Okay so I guess we all have been receiving the same errors as each other...

For me I get these...
1) Hack Tool Has Been Detected (Quiet a while ago now)
2) Disconnected from Server (VERY often)
3) Crossfire Client Error Number 11bleh! (Not often)
4) Incorrect Map Info (All the time even when not in match)

I do not use hacks, but I have been accused of (I'll write about it further down), but Z8Games also thinks so as well.

Disconnected from Server: Well... I have been restricting people on my network so they can only just use the internet! I have given myself 60 KB/s Upload (My ISP; Virgin Media only lets 20MBit users have 80 KB/s upload tight ar*ed Ba*t*rds.) But the upload trick isn't seem to be working. Now Z8 could I have the port numbers what your servers use so i could try opening that port and trying again? I wouldn't say I am a professional but I had to like 2 routers wireless so I could have a good game. (1 router connected to Broadband modem, the other router in my bedroom with my PC plugged in Ethernet and sending and receiving the signals.) I have only linked up my routers so I could experiment and see if it helps me on CF but it doesn't so I scrapped that idea.

All I say is run a virus, malware and spyware scan on your PCs using these FREE tools.

Now the Crossfire Error this seems to be something to do with the files in the Crossfire Directory I guess, or it is when it is loaded into the RAM. I suggest with this to clear your temporary files and to restart your system afterwards, this will then clear your volatile memory (RAM) and have better chance of playing the game! Also it is best to Uninstall your unwanted programs (Allowing faster access to the memory and HDD; takes less space)
so you know there isn't any useless junk of there. Also what maybe the case is that your PC can't handle your software and your OS at the same time! I will write a guide further down...

Incorrect map information, now this error I am not sure about. Does the map store locally or does it stream from a server? Streaming is a bad idea because it will make the Brazillians lag even more than what they do now cause people from other countries with low ping (Especially me I am from the UK) get frustrated because they're noobing around on the server. It is best if we have EVERYTHING Z8 requires to play the game On To Our System! This WILL however take up more RAM because it will need to load more temporary things up! But... It may STOP the Incorrect Map Information, OR it is a new patch/ update on the maps that the Server has registered and we do not have causing a violation in the connection terminating our connection!

But if things don't improve I am just going to play BLACKSHOT again, ditch Crossfire and never go back to it. But Crossfire is good because I've had so much fun being called a hacker :') and I have all my weapons on Crossfire now, so, really I hope this problem gets sorted ASAP.

Okay about the hacking thing I am being called.
I have recently switched to Vista on my 9 year old PC (Athlon XP 2800+, 2 GB of RAM, 120 GB IDE, 256 nVidia BFG tech.) and I am lagging a lot in FPS so I switched my graphics properties to low and chenged my resolution to 800x600 and colour to 16 Bit. Changing colour to 16 bit messes the colour up but helps you see the ghost better! (Also full gamma.) so if you get any nooby people say "Oh that [-_-MeH-_-[] person is a hacker." WRONG! I have just changed my graphics settings to lowest and best.

Now Software and Hardware side of things.
You may not like my judgement on this but I do recommend these.

If your PC is below the specs of 2.30 GHz (Single core); 2 GB of RAM; 512 MB GRAM (Graphics memory) I do recommend you do use Windows XP, it takes less RAM and less CPU. Like my PC. I use a 2.08 GHz; 2 GB of RAM; 256 BFG nVidia. I get 20 FPS average on Vista and 50 FPS average on XP.

If your PC is above the specs of 2.30 GHz (Dual core or better); 2 GB of RAM; 512 GRAM
I do still recommend Windows XP BUT you can have Windows Vista and above. (When I say over a certain amount of CPU power is because some people don't have a GPU (graphics processing unit) so they will lag a low in FPS.) You can run Vista or 7 in low graphics settings. Anything above these specs you can have XP/Vista or 7 in highest detail.

Same thing is happening to me...so i come back to this game froma long ass break...when only about 10-20 minutes into the game i either get...."disconnected from server" or "hack tool detected"....and usually "disconnected do to map...something..something"....please z8 help us we wuv your game and wish to play it!!

I used to get "Disconnected from server" and "Due to incorrect map info" alot of times and I would get made since I was playing in Zone13 all I needed was 1 more round to get my exp and gp when I get the error messages. One time I was playing in Alaska and 2 more rounds left and I get the same messages. Then I got tired of it so I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I really don't get much error messages.

I friggen have this problem too... I guess it only happens on different computers.

the hack tool problem might be because of gamebooster...

yes i get the same problem i have opened cf twice because it was running slow and i pressed start game two times and when it loaded in my main account,x-trap said hack tool detected.I didn't get banned because i don't hack.Z8games has checked my profile there is no hacks in my account.

Yo CF GM/Patcher please patch the damn glitch instead of us changing. We don't hack it's probably u CF Patcher that put a hack dictecter that search everything on our comp. Does game booster affect the hack protection? Crossfire always been bad and it's actually fun game if exclude the hacks, disconnecting.

Same here can ever play a game without the messages showing up on my screen.

Okay I see that you're all having problems.
So this is what I recommend.

1) Unistall Crossfire.
2) Scan PC for infections using these tools (http://superantispyware.com and http://malwarebytes.org both free; keep updated!)
3) Once scanned and removed threats or reviewed the list, download some software called Glarysoft Utilities (Free) and Also DiskSpeed up (Also free; From Glary software).

4) Run a disk defragmenter on your host drive (HDD containing Windows).

5) Once complete, then run Glary Utilities and select the 1-click optimization. Once optimization is complete repair the problems.

6) Once repaird, shut down and restart the PC and start it back up.

7) Download Crossfire (Fresh copy) and reinstall. After, restart your PC again and attempt to run CF.

If this doesn't work then FML.

help please ever time i go in a room it pop up and i ever get to play with my friend. I have to go to my friend house all night and then when i go to my house it is dark and i can not spend the night at my friend house.

Whenever I walk into a room or at any one time server, get error messages appear saying that I was "disconnected from server" or "hack tool detected".
But it happens that I do not use any hack, and I really want to play. Please ask the team Z8 Games to help me fix this error, in any way possible, whether with any suggestions or patch repair.

This hack tool detected screen comes up after i have loged in even though I have never hack in my life. This really annoys me because I have just got AWM-camo for 7 days. This started after the Feb 2011 pacher was brought in. I belive other people have the same problem. Z8 will ye plz fix this problem so i can return to playing crossfire
BTW crossfire rocks
