Only imagine tonfas like these but with a blade on the back too and not sticked to the arms. That would simply be amazing!

as long as the blade isn't breakable or that easily breakable and the grip is good then those would be good weapons

if you had modern day tonfas made of steel instead of wood and blades facing outside and you held them like the dude in the picture you would be epic. me and my other friends have been working weapon defence at our karate dojo and we have yet to figure out a totally safe way to defend yourself against an assailant holding a blade or weapon like the dude in the pic -

You can defend yourself if the assailant doesn't know how to use such a weapon properly
he might as well poke a giant hole inside of his stomach while "using" those tonfa's -

they were originally used in feudal japan as rice grinding handles and became make shift weapons after the samurai ban on steel and metal weapons.
