Any other solutions to Incorrect Map Info crash?

the only fix is to go into control panel ,and uninstall crossfire
sad but true. I've had this problem for weeks. I've tried all the solutions even a few of my own
I do manage to go in game and stay ingame by going right into a clan server sitting idol for 3-4 min then moving to another server and sitting idol there for another 3-4 min. for some reason the clan servers don't give me a problem. this trick seems to work 80% of the time.
