My FPS IS CRAP
I lag, alot, to the point where I must put 800x600 resolution in order to play, with that fat crossfair and smudgy bodies long distance.
I do everything I can to increase it but I cant play 1000x700. Even in 800x600 I lag massively through smoke, so I always run when I see that stuff.
My desktop is ACER. This is my graphics card - NVIDIA GeForce 6100 nForce 405
Should I buy a new graphics card in order to play 1000x700, and be able to shoot through smoke easily? Or just a whole new desktop all together.
My RAM is 800-900 MB. I would just like to play with a solid 35-50 fps in Crossfire -1000x700 resolution, and maintain that FPS through smoke.

I get 14 fps in a full room if it makesyou feel better, and 7 fps in smoke. 3 fps in smoke, bhopping, and people shooting at me. Gonna have to do till i get a new comp

Obviously its my PC. I run gamebooster, close all background programs, even explorer in order to improve FPS.
Basically I need to know how the hell I improve my specs. And how much it would cost.
More RAM? If thats possible. New processor? New Graphics card? Which type, and how much.

you can definitely upgrade this computer, but i highly advise that it wouldn't be worth it to investment money in it (simply because the only hardware it supports is already outdated)
you state that you don't want to buy a whole new computer just for gaming, but is gaming all you do? wouldn't you want to watch movies on your computer? watch HD videos smoothly? etc etc? it won't spill out your wallet if you get someone smart to assemble one for you.

I dont think future shop has any of these other than the graphic cards but I recommend you to go to CanadaComputer or TigerDirect....they will definitely have what you are looking for. -
