Fps Issues

Ever since my laptop battery got fried, my fps has been acting weird. It goes as high as 200 all the way down to 5.. so my question is, does the battery on your laptop have any effect on the gaming performace?

  • If your battery fries... your laptop obviously won't be performing the same it used to that is if it still even works.

Yes, of course. If any piece of hardware in your computer is not functioning, it is safe to say that you will experience issues with your performance. To specifically answer your question, yes, a battery's functionality can affect the computer's performance.

However, it is not uncommon for people to deduce that the cause of their problems must be one specific source. It's likely that there are other issues factoring into your poor computer performance.

I'm assuming that you know - for sure - that your battery is completely dead. If it is, and you have nothing to lose by trying this experiment, it may be possible for you to restore your battery by freezing and then thawing your battery. Of course, I've only heard through a friend that this works; I do not own a laptop to try this experiment on.

Honestly, if it's in your budget, I would purchase a new battery (I do not recommend refurbished or used) and see how it works out for you.
