  • This is not a Canadian game, it's North American/UK Crossfire, but GMs don't seem to celebrate anything about UK or Canada. A lot of North American games do this, mainly because there headquarters or what ever is in U.S.

    But its funny because here it is based in Canada and they still fail to recognize our independance day. GMs should be recognizing both American and Canadian holidays, I especially hate that ad with the American Flag only, just because a large %age of Americans play this game, you focus more on them. Nice.

    I dont care much but that is pritty unjust.

    PS::: NORTHAMERICA = AMERICA <<<<
    WRONGG SAIDIN.. WRONGG.

    Apology or condolences to the Canadians please.? Lols, like he'll admit failure to the public.
  • We're entrepreneurs.

    I'm not saying that we're the only ones on earth but think about this logically.

    You're a business. While you have a wide variety of players from the North American region, the majority of them are American. If a majority of them are American, does it seem more useful to promote sales on a Canadian holiday or on an American holiday?

    Based on player population, it would be more profitable to market to Americans than Canadians.

    Now, I'm not saying that we should ignore Canadians; that's not it at all. But, you have to realize, each time they put out a patch or change the design in their layout or develop a new banner for their website, it COSTS MONEY.

    So, if they only have enough money to change the layout, banner and develop a new patch ONCE during a specific time period that consists of several holidays, they are going to choose the holiday that makes them the MOST amount of money.

    For a lot of people in America, 4th of July comes after a pay day. In addition to this, the 4th of July is a three day weekend (for many) in which Americans have time off to play CF for three days. This increases the likelihood that they will purchase ZP on CF.

    Of course, all of this is speculation on my part but it makes tons of sense to me. Don't take what Crossfire does personally. We're all trying to make money and survive; I'm sure these guys are trying to do the same.

  • Guys,

    Enough.

    It's a July 4th Long Weekend Sale.

    The sale runs for EVERYONE, just because it happens to have a little red, white and blue doesn't mean we're ignoring everyone else.

    A lot of people in Canada took a holiday weekend this weekend as well. We didn't call it an Independence Day sale. (although yes, we put the American flag on the banner).

    Not to mention that the sale runs until the 7th, which is a much longer weekend than anyone in the world would be celebrating.
