Crossfire.exe virus ??

Until today, i had no problem with crossfire.

But this morning, what a good surprise!

Is it a virus ?

I had the same problem!!! Kaspersky deleted the file.
So i downloaded crossfire new(4 times)
but every time when i want to install or start the game he was not able to patch or i get this error> The setup files arw corrupted.Please obtain a new copy of the program.

What should i do?

Its a false positive. Let it through. It's fine

and fdsfdfdsfdsd, disable your antivirus/firewall when downloading, installing and playing. Don't worry you should be fine with it off while playing

Disabling your anti-virus and firewall seems like a bad idea just to play a game. I have been playing crossfire for well over a year and never once experienced this problem. Why all of a sudden is crossfire trying to install a trojan on my computer. I looked into the file and it says it is a key logging program. Is this just my anti-virus messing up....i kinda doubt it. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

buy a other virus scan the best are mcafee or norten 360 i got it to and i never got virus

Kaspersky is ranked higher than both of those programs, I previously used both of those. If they aren't catching the virus, then they aren't seeing the virus.....switching to anti-virus programs that miss viruses seems counter-productive don't cha think. In all reality, it may very well be harmless and not actually anything to worry about. But still seems fishy that it is just now happening

Mine is doing the same also use kaspersky as the other user said pause protection and it installs and plays fine..... but is this really a false positive thats wat i wanna no ? aint too happy playing a game with no protection running ;(

That is not Cross Fire, but the anti-hack system.

Its clean, I have been playing Cross fire without an anti-virus, and I am still good.

I sent crossfire.exe to kaspersky and they fixed the false positive.

NEVER disable your antivirus or configure it to exclude any path.

Instead of this, send the file to AV manufacturer for them to fix.

Crossfire.exe virus ??
