Escape mode: Competitive ruleset

I just played EsM for the first time today, I'm thrilled with the gameplay and I had an absolute blast.

Other games out there usually offer up SnD and CtF but I don't know of anything like Escape mode out there.

I think it has a lot of potential to become competitive, but I'm just wondering what kind of rules (mode specific) would be good.

I'm pretty sure 5 man teams are still going to be the norm (2 attackers, 2 mid players, 1 back player, or w/e) but how many escapes? 10?


I'd imagine we would be following the WOGL rules more or less, but I think a few tweaks would have to be made.

I'm thinking that we take the sniper and the machine guns and label them "special weapons" with a two special weapon limit per side. That way teams could have machine guns when they're attacking, and snipers on defense.

OR


There could be a sort of class system, and each team would have a dedicated sniper and a dedicated machine gunner. Those players would use the same weapon all game both halves.

I'd like the work the gatling gun in, but since its ZP crate that wouldn't be fair at all. :(


Anyway, please lets discuss and get something worked out. I really enjoy EsM and would love to see a WOGL league like they have CTF for CA and other crap games.
