how to hear ghost with breath down?

I have a ok headphone and i could hear ghost breath loudly without breathdown. However I could absolutely not hear any ghost with breath down and i got killed by bhoppers a lot and without a clue. I use the lowest settings so I am wondering if that's the problem or is there any tricks that can be used to detect breath down ghosts. Thanks.

With breathdown, the breath is still there, it's just really faint. By the time you hear the ghosts breath, you're already dead..

breath down, steps down, SPOP, armor, shovel, fall damage, bunny hop........GR should just camp vents. GM is now 1 sided.

Try and bring them into hard to bhop areas like stairs, slopes, etc. Usually they'll mess up and that'll give you a chance to retaliate. (No don't camp vents. That'll label you as a noob for as long as you do it)

Also, even the best bhoppers mess up sometimes. When they do, you get a glimpse of the direction they go in, try and follow the pattern and you should be able to get a shot in on them. Or you can throw a grenade if you've got good timing.

Use your brain.

Locations like vent is good choice for camper, but not smart for quick moving

Remember, not many people know how to b hop, and there are less than 1% of the community can hop PERFECTLY.

Lastly, shovel ghosts require great timing, ALWAYS look at the top right hand corner for death report, spray around your dead teamates.

Not many people can hop perfectly and kill without walking a few steps, that is when you strike.

Pinpoint is a great skill for taking them down, for example, shoot the BL base with 5 bullets are basically enough to ensure no ghost is in BL base, not to mention that you can headshot the non-moving ghosts with 1 shot if you know how.

Lastly, it is POSSIBLE to hear ghosts with low breathing, as a matter of fact, b hoppers with low breathing actually give you enough time to get away, but most people doesn't react quick enough.

Headphones and a decent audio card really matters. Even though this game supports only stereo sound, lowbreath with headphones such as Logitech G35 makes no difference anymore.
Besides, most of the ghosts fail their bunnyhop A LOT, try turning your gamma a bit up. It might help.

Get closer. Alternatively, I find a good tactic vs. Breath Down ghosts is to take a silent weapon like M4A1-Adv/MP5-Adv (MP5 is especially good) and spray around a bit to find the ghost, but still use breath to tell where they are. I guess what I'm saying is do a controlled spray. The silencer will keep your teammates from getting mad at you, while the fast firing rate will help you sweep the area better.
