Anything but an eMachine...
If youre going to BestBuy try an HP(that's the best brand they have)
You could just upgrade your internet or whatever, or just go online and make your own computer
If your problem is just fps then just get a new graphics card.

i have a good enough graphic card.
the cpu is the problem.
crossfire takes 100% of my cpu. -

20 fps is a PROBLEM.That computer should have NO PROBLEM running CF just fine.

If your looking for a power supply, buy this.
Its 800w, 120mm fan to prevent overheating and you won't even hear it.
im looking for a processor :x -

who the hell would need an 800w power source. my dads work computer uses 900 and thats pretty much the most power you can take with out going dual 5770s. most comuters will run just fine on a 550w power source -

so a with the 200$ cpu i was looking at i'd have to buy moar stuff to go with it? -
ContinuumProdi wrote: »pretty much. because im geussing your computer is roughly 5-10 years old. cause they dont even make that **** anymore
i bought it like 4 months ago.
from bestbuy.
it was only 299.99 and its a lot faster than my other computer, which is ~8 years old -
CPU = Processor.
I love how someone is trying to tell him where to get a new Power Supply.
Yo, I'm thinking about adding more RAM.
Can anyone tell me where to get another hard drive?
Seriously, wtf. rofl.
new egg
he probably thought cpu = computer power unit xD -
It looks like the motherboard uses the LGA775 socket for the CPU, which means that you should be able to use any CPU that uses that socket. This would include Core 2 Duo processors. Unless the e-machines bios restricts what CPU's you can use, any of the following should work:

You would be much better off disregarding any "Pentium Dual cores" and stick with either Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processors. -

How many FPS you want? I know a computer that would work really well but that also depends on how much you have to spend on it?
i just need a good cpu. cuz skype kills my fps. speaking of skype, get on so we can talk to u, but u cant talk back
and im eaither buying a new fone and some bud, or im buying this cpu. greycloak helped me find it =3 this one right hurr -

dude, there is no reason why u should only get 20fps... cf is supper bad in the sense that it looks super bad and uses super amounts of gpu and cpu to do it, but u should still be pulling atleast 60...
back on track, you are limited to what kind of cpu based on your socket type. also keep in mind u MAY need to get a diff power supply. Did u consider this when buying your video card?
i think the min req on the 9000 series os 400 watts while most computers come stock with only a 250-300..... not sure if using a underpowered power supply would cause issues or just not work at all. look into it.
ALSO skype should not effect your fps, specially when u got 3 gigs of ram.... most games use 100% of cpu because they are set as "priority applications" and this is not a bad thing. skype should use low cpu and a small amount of ram...and more importantly NO GPU when u are ingame.
There is the possibility that your computer is "junked up" as in sh.it tons of useless registry entries and dumb poinltess resource hogging back ground apps. these will cause the whole machine to run poorly.. -
You guys have no idea what your talking about...
If I were you i would go with this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115056
If your money is a bit low go with this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116093
It has less cache than the Core 2 Duo which would = slower response time but both would run CF 60+ FPS combined with your 9400 GT. Both will work with your LGA775 socket. -
Basically any LGA775 socket processor thats a dual core, would work in your computer, so its your choice
personally I think this would work perfectly http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116264
but it really doesn't make sense because CF runs fine for me on a 2.4ghz 90nm Athlon 64 lol, with an 8500GT. You might want to do some cleaning, and defrag.
