All in all, the xm8 is overall a better weapon. M4 is pretty tasty though :P

Best GP sniper would be Awm
Best GP assault rifle would have to be XM8 but M4A1 off by only 1 point.
I'm better with M4A1 tho, since I've been playing with it in this game for a year and 3 months. and only had the XM8 for 3 days.

XM8 is a great gun. My 2nd favorite single shooter besides the AK-47. I don't care about bullet penetration because, let's be honest, it's cheap. But...the M4A1, in my opinion, is the best out of the three. I get a ton of head shots out of it. The Scar Light is a weapon for people who don't have much skills...

M4A1. The best.
