Screen Resolution

Hello!

I got a huge problem. Just bought a new computer an Acer 7740G. But when I play CF i can't have wide screen just the screen resolution 1024x768. What's the problem ?

Because when I set the screen resolution on CF to wide it says that my screen isn't supporting that ? What's the big problem ? Can't you play CF on new laptops ?

The largest resolution is 1280x800, which is what i am using, and my Crossfire works fine and fullscreen o.o

With win 7 i get black band on the right and left of my screen don't knwo why and it is only with CF

Same here. Maybe CF doesn't support Windows 7 64-bit ?

I'd go with the error message. Your screen doesn't support the resolution.

the highest resolution is 1440

if it says your monitor doesnt support that resolution that its exactly how MR Modster said it. go with the error message

you will have to lower the game resolution to 800 since your monitor doesnt support 1024.

also some monitors dont auto adjust to the full resolution, you should check it your monitor is at full resolution

1. right click your desktop

2. click properties

3. click Settings tab

4. move the little cursor/icon to the right hand side as far as it will go and check the max resolution size. if it goes to 1024+ then click apply then yes to save changes.

when in game if you put it to highest resolution you possibly can for your monitor even if your monitor resolution is a little bit higher it should auto size down to that resolution and then return to the full resolution after exiting the game.

Look here. My original screen resolution is 1600x900, and CF's screen settings says that my screen doesn't support that ?! It's works perfect on my sisters 1 year old HP Pavilion [insert model]..

same here with W7 x64, i cannot set 1440 resolution in full screen mode, its just appers in window mode
the only solution is to change resolution of my desktop but it shouldnt work this way

That doesn't work either. I tested to set my screen resolution to 1024x768 and it still was that black stripes on the sides. I think that Crossfire doesn't support 64-bit's systems..

I have win7 32bit and I've got this same. Win 7 is makeing "the best" for U so U can't play normal... On Win XP u would get some more screen size (auto-screen).

Btw. It sucks
