How important are proper soccer/football shoes/boots?
I have some running shoes that I wear right now, but I've been kicking the ball for like an hour a day at this brick wall and I have to say that my ankles and to a lesser extent my heels are killing me. -
being keeper is boring unless you have a horrible team. The keeper in my team would have to like make 1 or 2 saves per match and then stand there for the rest of the game.
My team is decent, but the other team would slip in there every once in a while and keep me on my toes.

Anyways, you won't need them until your out on a field (or pitch depending on where you are from) and playing. If you kick a ball at a brick wall some expensive cleats won't help you. -

You could just play fifa
But practise with a smaller ball when your not on the pitch , because when you take to the pitch you will fine it easier.
If your taking it REALLY seriously you could practise with weights on your feet which helps you to do step overs faster. -

and people say by watching sport u get better in sport so by playing a sport game u maybe gonna be a football legend XD -

You could start off with some astro-turn trainers.
If you're interested in playing midfield.
Try some Nike's first off, if not, go with Adidas. Kick the ball with the laces/just left of the laces. Try hitting a certain spot of a wall 5 times, then move back about 10 metres and hit the same spot again. Keep doing this till you reach your limit. Also, get some friends/family/dog to run around roughly 70 metres away, then try to get the ball to their feet. You may wanna start learning how to cleanly tackle aswell, as in, if you take someone down, you must take the ball first.
Also, to help with your control, try getting a mini-ball. Anything you can do with a mini, you can do with a regular. -
I do have a mini ball actually, but its so light that I really dislike using it, especially because I play mostly on concrete so it really gets away from me when I'm running around.
I'm trying to work on proper kicking and also eye-foot coordination. I find that when I take my eye off the ball I'm kicking at a crazy angle, so its a work in progress.

Try and get astroturf trainers/boots at a low-ish price, Nike, Adidas and maybe Reebok are the best makes but personally I'm a converted Reebok into Nike fan
I use Nike CTR 360's:
I love them because I can get a very good connection on the ball every time I kick it
I Fabregas uses them too..

Looking up every so often is good to check where team mates and defenders are, but if the ball keeps getting away just learn to look up quickly and take note of where everybody is as quickly as possible, one of the best examples of doing something like that is Xavi. He is amazing on the ball, he's playing for Spain in the world cup atm, easily their best midfielder IMO. -

I used to play for a team but got lateral ligament damage at an early age in my 4th year, so started a 5-a-side non-competitve just for fun team called Lol Wanderers
Just for a mess around and keep us reasonably fit really

This is just going to be a hobby for me.
Unless I'm amazing (which I doubt) and have connections (which I don't) its kind of hard to jump off the couch at 20 and go "Mom, I want to be a professional football player."
But who knows, there are some OLDDD players out there. -

rofl,good luck with that. I have problems with the ligaments in my knee's so i stopped playing properly like 2 years ago. I still do matches and a bit of training but i can't push myself so i've gotten way worse >.>

oh yeah,and your not supposed to look at the ground. Always have your head up unless your shooting. thats the point of getting foot-eye coordination so you know exactly where the ball is and have complete control over it.
EDIT: Also,when practising put weights on your feet. If your doing stepovers it speeds it up by like 200%. Its also good for shooting i feel.
TIP: For a beginner the best thing to do is keep everything very simple. Don't try taking on players like when you see Messi and Ronaldo doing on tv :P Or don't try the shots from 40 yards like Salcido. Do the basics well and you'll gradually grow into being a good player. Play short simple passes,make standing tackles and don't take risks. If you make mistakes you'll 1) loost confidence in yourself and 2) Your team mates won't even want you on the team
) Best to make sure #2 doesnt happen. -

Why is FIFA so against technology on the field?
I'm sure you've heard about the England game where the goal didn't got noticed.
Also it would help with players being called offside, handballs, etc.
I just see that the head official has way too much influence on the game. What gives? -

I can answer that; it's because Sept Blatter thinks that the introduction of goal line technology would disrupt the game and take out one of (in his opinion) the main parts of the beautiful game because you'd disrupt a counter attack for stopping play for 2/3 seconds to watch a replay. You saw immediately after we/England had a goal ruled out that Germany counter attacked and nearly made it 3-1 sooner than they did.
The other reason (the sensible one) is that Sept Blatter is a stubborn, up his own arse French guy in charge of football worldwide.

I have adidas preadtors which are too small for me.. And CTR's are better xD -

This guy didn't kick a ball til he was 12 (which is extremely young, considering some kids are signed up at a professional club's academy by the time they're 7)
Now he plays for Arsenal & England

You could probably play for a local adult league when you are older, in the mean time just keep practicing, and find someone to practice with.
