Issue with high gamma settings

im must address an issue with the high gamma setting when your turning up the games brightness this has been annoying me for the past month but when ever the game has a game error or when the game lags out and freezes or has a random exception and you quit the game the high gamma still remains on the monitor screen even though it shouldent please fix this asap
