Run-time error '5': Invalid procedure call or argument

I had this error , after it closed out , windows came up ran a fix and told me to restart the program. I don't know what it did to fix it. the error was the auto patch failed to run. "cv5" i believe it was. I have windows 7 64bit maybe thats why it auto fixed the problem , perhaps the older windows don't
try downloading the new patch directly / rebooting computer/ contacting a game mod
