Do I need a new mouse for Crossfire?
Hi community,
I've been playing Crossfire for quite a while now. At the beginning, my Logitech mouse was very good for this game but recently, I get some weird as spins and sometimes my mouse doesn't respond correctly. I play with low sensitivity, so sometimes I need to do a big movement to be able to do an 180. If I do it too fast, I only end up doing half the spin. Sometimes my mouse just goes out of control too, it spins like 4 turns in less than a second and leaves me staring at the sky disoriented.
So I've been wondering, is it an issue with my mouse or if it was possible to fix it. I've been using this mouse for close to 9 years, so it might be a little old.
If I end up needing a new mouse, will the Razor Deathadder be a good mouse? I've considered buying this mouse for quite a while for it's price and good ratings/reviews.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Any fix possible for my current mouse?
If not, I will most likely be going to buy my mouse at my local BestBuy. I'm not interested in buying online. Looking at the prices, I will most likely be buying the Deathadder because I'm not going to lie, I'm low on budget. -

And thats why you buy this $80 mouse for $45. -_____- -
To fix the spinning thing, you could use a plastic flat mousepad. I have a new mouse, which spins around like my old one (altough less often) but I noticed, that theres a hair or filament from my mousepad stuck inside that laser...detection thing which seems to disturb it
I like my current mousepad much better than the plastic one though. Does fine, I can live with a once-in-a-while spin -

what mouse are you using... I may need to try and follow this up
I don't know the name of my mouse since I started using it when it was on the family computer. It's been close to 9 years as I said and the tag under the mouse all wore out. All I know it's that it's a Logitech :P
EDIT: I just did some research and I found a mouse exactly like mine. It's saying it's a 'Cordless Freedom Optical mouse', but mine is not cordless. Maybe this would answer your question. To fix the spinning thing, you could use a plastic flat mousepad. I'm currently using a flat plastic mousepad and my mouse keeps spinning. I didn't mind it at first but it's happening more and more often. It kinda bugs me now since I'm more worried about my mouse when I'm camping a site in a scrim than on the actual reason I am camping.I also use logitech mx518, its great, no problems with it so far.I'm using a Logitech mx518 i have no problems with it

I just googled the Logitech MX518 and it's saying that it's a gaming mouse. I really doubt my mouse is one, maybe that is the problem. -

i liek mai deathadder
it takes a lil bit to get used to, and change your sensativity to, but once u get it dialed down, its very nice. -
Alright, since nobody has given you an explanation as to why this is happening; i will try to.
Your logitech mouse is NOT a gaming mouse and was made for standard desktop use. Therefore it's MALFUNCTION SPEED:
Malfunction Speed
Another important factor in choosing a mouse is the fastest speed you can move before it gives up and decides to fire the next rocket at your feet. I call this the Malfunction Speed, where the mouse loses control and effectively stops working. When you flick your mouse beyond the Malfunction Speed, anything can happen. You may either end up looking in any random direction or just find you haven't turned around at all. All optical and laser mice must have a Malfunction Speed, so we want it to be as high as possible so you don't notice it.
So your logitech's malfunction speed is at a low speed, meaning you only have to move the mouse a "little fast" for it's optics to STOP recognizing the movements. There is NO way to fix this and the only solution is a gaming mouse because they are BUILT with higher malfunction speeds and will be able to TRACK your movements even when you do extremely fast flicks on low sensitivities.
So yes to fix your problem a purchase of a gaming mouse is needed wether it be from logitech, razer or any other brand name. It's up to you to research and find one that has good tracking statistics while being comfortable.
Here is a couple guides to help you out.

I just bought it. I like it a lot but there is a thing bugging me. It seems like the mouse acceleration in game is WAY more than it used to be. With my Logitech mouse, I had little to no mouse acceleration. I've tried ticking it off in the Razer menu but it still seems to be there.
Any help on that?
