Error: failed to download patch

Today when I opened up crossfire there was a patch... but it kept freezing so I decided to uninstall the game and re-download it. When I re-downloaded it and started the patching, it kept giving me an error saying "error- failed to download patch." So i thought maybe tehre is something wrong so Ill try again later, i tried after 2 hours and still the patch doesnt work. So i unstalled it again and downloaded and installed it again and it still gave me that error. I restarted my computer twice but that error still came. Can anyone help me with this?

i had this problem somewhile ago, but I tried it once again, and it worked.

Maybe try running it as "administration" if you have a vista/7, if that helps? - but idk...

Ive tried 5 times T_T i am using administrator but I have windows Xp so it shouldnt matter, thnx anyways

Oh wait nvm it worked on my 7th try ... LOL

But now its stuck on 1049 (6/10) .... D=

keep killing patcher_cf.exe
I left it alone for a while...after 4 hours I'm still at 8/10

If the patch downloading stops, exit it and open it again and it should work fine...or it did for me

Yea, thats what I did

but if it freezes for more than 5 mins you have to close it again and start and keep repeating until your done
